Life is a Runway ist der letzte von drei Shorts, die im Nachhinein zum Film My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Rainbow Rocks veröffentlicht wurden. Der Short und der Song wurden am 31. März 2015 auf den Hasbro Studio Yotube Kanal hochgeladen, bevor der Song auf privat gestellt und am 2. April 2015 veröffentlicht wurde. Eine deutsche Version existiert nicht.
