A canção foi originalmente postada na página do YouTube da Hasbro em 12 de agosto de 2014, e fora usada uma montagem de Equestria Girls, bem como letra e melodia do tema de abertura da série. O compositor Daniel Ingram observou que, no primeiro vídeo postado pela Hasbro, os vocais estavam fora de sincronia com a música. Apenas dois dias depois, em 14 de agosto, a versão original foi eliminada horas antes da versão corrigida ser publicada. A canção é cantada a partir do ponto de vista de Twilight Sparkle.
