All Bottled Up and All That Jitters are the fifteenth episode of My Little Pony: Pony Life.

In All Bottled Up, Twilight Sparkle bottles herself to avoid facing the fallout of an argument with Owlowiscious.

In All That Jitters, Twilight learns from Potion Nova that potion-making is harder than it looks.

Summary

All Bottled Up

While doing some cleaning at Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie Pie accidentally spills magic potion on a batch of cookies. In the midst of this, Twilight Sparkle has gotten into a fight with Owlowiscious, and she hides out at Sugarcube Corner to avoid talking about her problems. She and Applejack eat the potion-tainted cookies, causing them to shrink down and become trapped inside the potion bottle. Applejack is greatly distressed by this due to her claustrophobia, but Twilight is overjoyed at escaping her problems.

When Pinkie discovers what happened to Twilight and Applejack, she and Rarity take the potion bottle to Potion Nova for help. Potion Nova creates an antidote potion to free Twilight and Applejack from the bottle; it works on Applejack, but Twilight resists the antidote's effects and remains inside. Despite her claustrophobia, Applejack decides to go back inside the bottle to convince Twilight to come out.

Twilight refuses to come out of the bottle, but Applejack tells her that she needs to face her problems head-on, just like Applejack herself is facing her claustrophobia, and that Twilight and Owlowiscious can work through their disagreement because of what good friends they are. Convinced by Applejack's words, Twilight comes out of the bottle with her.

All That Jitters

Twilight goes to Potion Nova's house for her first day of being Potion Nova's apprentice, but she is extremely nervous the entire time she spends in Potion Nova's presence. During her first lessons in potion-making, Twilight struggles to make even the most basic potions. When Potion Nova asks her what is wrong, Twilight confesses that she is overcome with jitters due to a desire to impress Potion Nova. Potion Nova tells Twilight to pour her emotions into her potion-making instead of bottling them up inside.

Twilight takes Potion Nova's advice and successfully makes a potion. Potion Nova commends Twilight for her efforts, and Twilight remarks what an honor it is to be learning from such an expert potion maker. As the two compliment each other, they celebrate their first day as apprentice and teacher over freshly-baked bread.

Pinkie Pie: I had a notion this fridge full of potion needed cleaning.

Twilight Sparkle: I seem to have escaped my problems and I get to hang out with one of my best friends? This is perfect!

Applejack: Uh, it's anythin' but perfect. It's imperfect! Worse, it's non-perfect! I have claustrophobia! [to fourth wall] It means I hate bein' in confined spaces.

Pinkie Pie: We're coming ova, Potion Nova!

Applejack: I reckon I'm gettin'— [gags]— potion motion sickness.

Potion Nova: What you're gonna need is a super strong antidote potion. An antido-tion!

Twilight Sparkle: I'm not bottling up my problems. In fact, I left them outside the bottle and bottled up myself!

Potion Nova: Bit of a bottle episode you had, huh?

All That Jitters

Potion Nova: You're here early.

Twilight Sparkle: Well, I'm just excited to be your apprentice. And a little nervous. But mostly excited!

Potion Nova: Welcome to my "Pon Appetit" test kitchen!

Twilight Sparkle: She does like puns!

Twilight Sparkle: This must be a super magical artifact!

Potion Nova: That's a can opener.

Twilight Sparkle: [quickly] I was just so nervous on my first day and wanted to impress you! But I keep making stupid mistakes and now I can't stop, even though I knoooow I'm smarter than this and you're probably gonna think that I'm dumb and bad at potions forever! I'VE RUINED MAGIC!

Potion Nova: That's just potions, baby. You put in real, honest feelings, and magic still does whatever it wants. It's unpredictable. Just like us.

Twilight Sparkle: It's just such an honor to learn from the master.

Potion Nova: Oh, shucks, it's nothing!

Twilight Sparkle: No, really. That's why I was so nervous to make a great first impression.

Potion Nova: Are you kidding me? I've never had an apprentice as smart as you.

Twilight Sparkle: And you're an amazing cook! Is there anything this pony can't do?!
