It is a slight parody of the Dolly Parton song of a similar name.

Animated short summary[]

In this musical short, Applejack wakes up before the roosters start crowing and does her daily chores: cleaning the house, watering the plants, feeding the chickens, etc. Afterward, she cleans and decorates the barn for a hoedown with her friends that night. At the end of the song, Applejack falls asleep from her hard day's work.
