Since when did "moderator discretion" become a synonym for "you can enforce the rules however you want"?  FANMADE_Animated_Derpy_Hooves_desktop_ponies_sprite.gif Sig1.png Sig2.png  20:43, December 20, 2013 (UTC)

Who are you referring to? (Who claimed such?) If you mean the talk between JJJ and I, that isn't what I meant at all. I was saying that it's moderator discretion in terms of what is "excessive" or not. I personally don't think it means moderators can do whatever they want, the discretion must comply with the chat rules. Rules cannot be made up. 343 TheGuiltyProphet (talk) 21:42, December 20, 2013 (UTC)
What bothers me is you seemed to think that two lines of caps coming from a mod was okay, but never offered any explanation as to why I can't. TRIPLEJAY 00:09, December 21, 2013 (UTC)
I never said you couldn't. I was trying to explain that if it was meaningless such as spamming, it wouldn't be allowed. But what pony did was causing no harm. You are entitled to do exactly what she done also. All she done was post two short bits of caps. She didn't fill up the whole line. Sorry if I failed to explain this clearly. 343 TheGuiltyProphet (talk) 01:59, December 21, 2013 (UTC)
You never said anything of the sort yesterday. TRIPLEJAY 12:55, December 21, 2013 (UTC)
Yes I did, please see the chat logs from main chat. 343 TheGuiltyProphet (talk) 14:42, December 21, 2013 (UTC)
Since you seem insistent that it wasn't favoritism. Mods can do two lines of caps if it isn't the full line (what the hell?) and some other thing you tried to explain. I'm not gonna reply here anymore. TRIPLEJAY 15:08, December 21, 2013 (UTC)

That's the vibe I seem to be getting. At the most basic example, "moderator discretion" means Mod A might warn for 5 lines of emotes in a row, but Mod B might warn for 6 lines of emotes in a row. It does not mean that Mod A would warn user X for something but wouldn't warn user Y for the same thing. That's not "mod discretion", it is actual favouritism.
By all means, I may be wrong and this might not be happening. But I feel it is from time to time. This forum isn't meant to change anything, it's more of an awareness notice.  FANMADE_Animated_Derpy_Hooves_desktop_ponies_sprite.gif Sig1.png Sig2.png  14:46, December 21, 2013 (UTC)
I understand what you mean, but where and when was this incorrect methodology seen? 6d9b956b91e0c92565e2a90a818bee37-d5gij3r.gifAppleJon-Talk 21:16, December 21, 2013 (UTC)
