Forums: Index > Wiki discussion > (The) Golden Oak(s) Library

This list excludes non-English versions of the name (such as Biblioteket Gyllene Eken) as well as other English names, and is missing a few minor sources (including Signature Publishing's My Little Pony Annual 2013 and an Andy Price description that was formerly on eBay).

A couple people have said that the name Golden Oaks Library was used officially at My Little Pony Fair 2011, but I haven't seen any confirmation of whether it was specifically "Oaks" (and with or without "the"). 07:06, June 26, 2013 (UTC)

Clarification: The "the" presumably wouldn't be part of either spelling of the name; it just matters when referring to the library. 08:20, June 26, 2013 (UTC)

Well, I think that Golden Oak Library it is. Flippy Bear (talk) 19:35, June 26, 2013 (UTC)
Perhaps a visual tally for the doubters? Note that I'm counting individual instances, such as the seven times in The Elements of Harmony book.
  • Golden Oak Library: 13
  • Golden Oaks Library: 3
  • The Golden Oak Library: 4
  • The Golden Oaks Library: 1
  • (The?) Golden Oak Library: 1
  • (The?) Golden Oaks Library: 2
There you have it. By far, Golden Oak Library is the most popular choice, and I say we should get to changing the article (once a mod has approved).

Done, and all mainspace mentions changed (links from the locations template might have to be cleared manually because I'm not sure if Wikia's caching updates automatically at all anymore). ~Bobogoobo (talk) Lyra_speaks_S2E25.png 02:05, July 4, 2013 (UTC)

Updated the list to include Pinkie Pie and the Rockin' Ponypalooza Party!
