Forums: Index > Wiki discussion > Adding LWN script

Hi. For those who don't know me, I'm Yatalu, Dutch Helper. A couple of Wikia Staff members and Wikia Helpers are currently testing out a script called "LWN" on Tardis and Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki. This is a script that can be noticed only with the two following conditions:

  • the wiki is interlanguage linked
  • the user has their interface set to an interlanguage linked language

Its purpose is to point these users to the appropriate language's wiki. More information about the script can be found at Wikia Developers Wiki. Noticeworthy is that this script will not appear for any English users.

Since these two wikis don't yet cover a lot of languages, and we're still looking for more feedback and large-scale testing workspace, I'd like to ask you all the following: would you be okay with Staff adding this script to MLP Wiki? Post your feedback below.

Thanks for reading!

Seeing as it's gone pretty well on the wikis it's already on, I don't have any objections against adding it. B0lGGoQ.gifOz   14:46, July 16, 2014 (UTC)

Yay, thanks! — YATTA ヽ( ° ヮ° )ノ @fandom ☆ | 2014年07月18日、08:35:56

Functionally, sounds good. However, please make sure the code follows the coding conventions. I could help if you need it once you have a final version of the code. ~Bobogoobo (talk) Lyra_speaks_S2E25.png 03:53, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

I'm not the one coding it, but I'll pass that on to our coders c: there's still parts here and there to be added, so I think the code may only be cleaned up at the end. But I won't speculate about that.

I don't know, it may seem annoying for second language English speakers who prefer their websites in English, but if it is for the best then there's nothing wrong with adding it.  1tsWYY6.png Filly Please  17:22, July 31, 2014 (UTC)

Closed Consensus seems okay to add this.  FANMADE_Animated_Derpy_Hooves_desktop_ponies_sprite.gif Sig1.png Sig2.png  14:34, August 10, 2014 (UTC)
