The Discord server has now been around for over a month (I think?). Because it is off-site, discussion should probably take place there. Discord keeps scrollback logs forever (it seems, at least with the volume of chat on our server) and Discord's search tool is excellent, so we don't need to worry about archival, especially with pinned messages. We have a dedicated channel for server-related discussion (#ponyville-townhall) and I think it is far better suited than this forum.
I propose that we wrap up the Chat discussion forum and close it permanently. Please discuss below!

Oppose—mainly because scrollback, searching, etc. are screwier than duck sausage. On Firefox, the scroll bars of the lower channels are broken with the handle appearing higher than it really should be and never reaching the bottom of the bar. On IE, the search function is completely unusable. Also on IE, the pinned messages window does not properly expand to show anything. Furthermore, I think the wiki's forum is (1) more useful in distinguishing topics, (2) more useful in keeping track of relevant responses, and (3) vital to keeping a foundation in the community proper.
Also, there is no actual indication on the server of #ponyville-townhall's purpose. So I have no shortage of reasons to say the chat is not ready to make policy decisions internally. Guildmaster Grovyle (talk) 05:35, May 21, 2017 (UTC)

- Comment Why are you using discord on a browser? There are apps for every major device except, like, Windows Phone. _|ß1 20:48, June 1, 2017 (UTC)
Closed - Not enough consensus to close chat discussion at this time and will remain open and be used for major changes concerning Discord. 21:18, June 1, 2017 (UTC)
