Twilight 'I'll figure something out' S3E05 You have been banished from Ponyville!
You have been banned from chat for length of time. The reason for the ban is: unknown reason.

Please read and follow the chat rules. Everyone who uses our chat is expected to follow the rules. Breaking the rules is not tolerated.

To Use

Add "{{Ban|length of ban|reason}}" to the page. Replace the "length of ban" with the length of time of the ban. Replace "reason" with the reason for the ban.

This template will give a banned user an easy to understand explanation as for why he was banned from chat. (template not created by me, credit to the Regular Show Wiki). Should this template be used? Vote ponies. The Americanized Brony15:28, December 27, 2012 (UTC)
A template was used previously, and superseded by the notice that appears on Special:Contributions once someone has been banned. There's no reason to add more work for the mods and make them do the same work twice, in my honest opinion.  Food 25px-Surprise.png  05:57, December 28, 2012 (UTC)
Heh, I like the image that you put on it, but I agree with Food. However, I have noticed people asking mods why they're banned pretty often, so just now I added a link to the person's contribs in two places: the ban notification in chat itself, and the notification on Special:Chat when they try to join while banned (third location pending Food's JS expertise: the "Banned from chat" tag on user mastheads). I believe this should be sufficient. ~Bobogoobo (talk) Lyra_speaks_S2E25.png 09:44, December 28, 2012 (UTC)
This template is too much like a reward. I Symbol oppose vote oversat Strongly oppose doing anything that highlights or distinguishes blocked or banned contributors outside of the automatic mechanisms that already exist. –Throwy 18:42, December 28, 2012 (UTC)
Symbol oppose vote Oppose I don't ever go on the chat, but I agree with Throwy. It looks too... cute. Being banned from chat is serious business, y'know? Steph physarum (talk) 04:04, December 31, 2012 (UTC)
