I have been categorizing images for the past two weeks and I have seen plenty of images that are clearly cropped. I'm suggesting the addition of a "Cropped Images" category to single them out in a group so they can be replaced with higher quality crops if needed. http://i.imgur.com/GzLiU.gifJuan Brony Brohttp://i.imgur.com/nNocR.gif 22:29, November 15, 2012 (UTC)
- I don't think the current situation calls for it. Cropped images are usually used as thumbnails in places where they'll be viewed at a very small size (List of ponies, for example), so quality isn't an issue. If the quality is utterly intolerable, Category:Files that need improvement could be used to tag it. Last but not least, having a superfluous category is going to necessitate thousands of mind-numbing and unnecessary edits. Steph physarum (talk) 22:47, November 15, 2012 (UTC)
- I am with Steph for this one, I don't see a reason as of now for making such category. Force talk 00:28, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
- I can see Steph's point, though I'm still a little torn on this issue. However, as she pointed out, if it's not cropped for any particular reason (e.g. list of ponies and character infobox images), then feel free to tag it with {{file improve}} and specify that an uncropped version should be uploaded. ~Bobogoobo (talk) 00:37, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
