Return to Magic Duel

It's being hinted at that Twilight has a higher purpose this season, and that this episode in particular is an important milestone in reaching that purpose.

Honored greetings to all of my friends in Equestria and elsewhere! I have only seen both sections of the first episode in the third season thus far, but I understand this particular episode which might still be in production explores in more detail the relationship between Trixie and Twilight. We might even learn more about the magic college or wherever that Twilight had previously studied in when Trixie had been one of her classmates, and how persevering through it all really helps reinforce learning about "the magic of friendship" for all concerned. I really look forward to seeing more of the shows in the third season!

Horses[]

I believe could be Applejack and Rarity. Pictures depict that Twilight made her friends young, she could of used the same spell she used on Fluttershy's mice in Best Night Ever to turn them into horses.--Epic Mount is a MonoBook wikian. _ 21:51, November 24, 2012 (UTC)

Trixie's amulet and power[]

I know the episode's coming this Saturday but until then what are your thoughts on Trixie's dark amulet, how she increased her power, and why her eyes are glowing red? I thought there might be a connection to Sombra and his horn, but if there was her eyes would probably have glowed green with purple mist. What do you think? Alicorn Amulet and Elements of Harmony related?[]

IMO it would totally make sense if the AA was some sort of previous version or knock-off of the EoH artefacts. There is obviously the magical boost provided in common, but this hypothesis get particularly interesting when you consider the corruption of the mind of the wielder: we've seen pretty much everyone of the mane 6 loose it to some extent one time or another, and of course there was the Nightmare Moon fiasco back when Luna was one of wielders of at least one of the EoH. And now Celestia keeps "the stuff" on a vault she expected no one else could get to, like as if they were some sort of last resort doomsday device that only gets used when there is not much left to loose... --Tigro Spottystripes (talk) 03:34, December 26, 2012 (UTC)

The knock-off idea here seems a bit more likely; I could even see the Amulet, whether singly or as part of a set of artifacts, as being a sort of dark counterbalance to the Elements. Any corruption the Mane 6 or Luna have gone through doesn't seem to have ever been tied to the Elements-if anything it happened when they were turned against the Elements. As for Celestia keeping them in a vault, I would say that was more a case of keeping them safe than because they were a last resort.--Kilmarnock228 (talk) 07:20, October 11, 2017 (UTC)
