When ponies are depicted holding spears such as in file:Comic issue 19 Alternate Celestia's royal guard.png or other objects one would normally expect to hold with a hand, would it be reasonable to assume that the object is magical and thus has some kind of spell allowing it to adhere to the limb of something without prehensile fingers?
Or could this just be them wrapping their limbs/forelimbs (crook of the elbow, like how you hold a barbell in a zercher squat) around it? talk2ty 00:43, September 5, 2018 (UTC)
