The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows last season begins the arc because Shining and Cadance claim they are having a baby, which is Flurry Heart, and she's finally born in this episode. • King Sombra is mentioned several times here. The Gift of the Maud Pie

• Second third episode where a duo of new writers is introduced. The first was Season 5's "Castle Sweet Castle", written by Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco.
