My Little Pony #3, titled Puff-Sitting in trade paperback, is the third issue of IDW Publishing's My Little Pony comic series, based on the Generation 5 film My Little Pony: A New Generation. In this issue, the Mane 5's search for Discord is interrupted when Zipp Storm is called away to Zephyr Heights to look after Cloudpuff while Queen Haven is away at a royal conference.
Summary[]
At the Crystal Brighthouse, the Mane 5 wonder how to find Discord and stop him from destroying the Pegasus Crystal when Zipp Storm receives a call from her mother Queen Haven, reminding her that she is supposed to be looking after Cloudpuff while Haven is away at a royal summit. Zipp is unable to back out of this obligation, and Sunny Starscout suggests she look for leads on Discord in Zephyr Heights during her dog-sitting duties.
Once Zipp is entrusted with Cloudpuff and Queen Haven departs for the summit, Zipp puts very little effort in caring for Cloudpuff properly so that she can focus on searching the city for Discord. After a day of searching yields no results, Zipp leaves dinner out for Cloudpuff and retires to bed. The next morning, Zipp discovers Cloudpuff's dinner plate is still full and that Cloudpuff himself snuck off. She calls Hitch Trailblazer and enlists his help in finding Cloudpuff before Queen Haven returns.
Zipp and Hitch track Cloudpuff to his favorite fancy restaurant and a beauty supply shop, but they are still unable to find him. Hitch turns to the local critters for help, and they lead the two to a secret entrance into a waterfall cave where Cloudpuff is lounging. When Cloudpuff initially refuses to return with Zipp because of her neglect the day before, Zipp apologizes for not taking proper care of him and promises to do better next time. Cloudpuff, with Hitch as interpreter, agrees to go home as long as Zipp does not tell anyone about his secret cave hideout.
Zipp brings Cloudpuff back to the palace just as Queen Haven returns from her summit, and she and Hitch return to the Crystal Brighthouse in Maretime Bay.
