The studio-made recap at the start of the second half of the episode claims that Twilight and her friends are "still in search of their princess" and that Nightmare Moon "placed a plethora of traps for them on the way to the old castle", revealing the plot of the second part despite the first part only having played halfway through by this point (while Celestia's disappearance and Nightmare Moon's on-screen debut only occur at the end of the episode).
The "To be continued..." shot from the end of the episode is placed at the end of the first half together with background music that plays with it, causing an abrupt change from a casual scene to a dramatic ending.
After Granny Smith's introduction, Applejack says "Pa, rekao bih da su oni već dio obitelji". The word "rekao" is a masculine form of the verb "reči", which means "say", so as a result Applejack mistakenly refers to herself as a male.
When Twilight asks Fluttershy what her name is, her name is perfectly audible instead of muffled, making Twilight's remarks about not hearing her name look out of place.
At the end of the opening narration, the narrator mistakenly says that the elder sister took responsibility for "both herself and the sun", with the moon going completely unmentioned.
Audio errors:
The narrator's story of the two princess sisters goes out of sync with the visuals partway through (for example, revealing Nightmare Moon and her vow after the Elements of Harmony had already been shown), also overlapping with Twilight's dialogue afterwards.
Twilight's "Uuuugh" from when she keeps shaking her hoof after meeting Applejack is played twice in-between Twilight's greeting and Applejack's reply, and then replayed once after she remarks she and Spike have to get going after spitting out an apple.
Applejack's introduction of the Apple Family is too short, with her mention of Granny Smith occurring when Big Mac appears on-screen.
A voice clip of Granny Smith saying "What?" is replayed several times while she's trying to get up and walk towards Twilight. It's possible this was done intentionally to fill in the white noise.
When Rarity remarks about putting rubies instead of emeralds on Twilight's gem coat, "emeralds" is looped.
While Fluttershy is rehearsing the bird orchestra, "And one, two, three" is looped.
Spike's "Well well well" from when Fluttershy says he's cute is replayed when Fluttershy asks him what dragons talk about.
Twilight's remark about Spike "being too tired" is too long, clipping out of Twilight's mouth movement and overlapping Fluttershy's line right after.
Recorded dialogue for Pinkie Pie's story about setting up a surprise party for Twilight is too long, going out of sync with Pinkie Pie's lip-syncing (for example, reciting her "Aaah!" several seconds after her facial expression changed for a second to match it) and ending when Twilight goes upstairs after accidentally drinking hot sauce. Her "She's so happy she's crying" also replaces her "What? It's good!" after eating a cupcake with hot sauce.
As a result of the above error, Applejack's "Are you all right, sugarcube?" plays in the middle of Pinkie Pie talking.

The Mare in the Moon is referred to as the "Moon Pony".

Twilight Sparkle: Quick, find me that old copy of Predictions and Prophecies. What's that for? Spike: Well, it was a gift for Moon Dancer, but... [squeak] Twilight Sparkle: Oh, Spike, you know we don't have time for that sort of thing. Spike: But we're on a break!
Rainbow Dash snickering before bursting into laughter after messing up Twilight's mane with her Rain-Blow Dry
Twilight Sparkle: "Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about everlasting night." I hope the Princess was right... I hope it really is just an old ponytale... Spike: C'mon, Twilight, it's time to watch the sunrise!
The "To Be Continued" title card (causing the background music to cut out prematurely)
When Twilight asks Spike to take a note to Princess Celestia about the approaching eve of Nightmare Moon's escape, Spike misunderstands her instead of having trouble spelling the choice of words.
The Mare in the Moon is referred to as the "Moon Pony" (月のポニー, Tsuki no Ponī). This is taken from the Moon rabbit (月の兎, Tsuki no Usagi ) of Eastern myths.
The first half of the episode has a studio-made recap playing out before the official recap, explaining Twilight's encounter with Ponyville ponies and mentioning that preparations for the celebration are still underway. As the recap from the second half of the previous episode likewise explains the plot of this episode, it is possible that the studio-made recaps were mixed up.
The manticore's roars and growls were dubbed over by a voice actor.
Applejack's line where she questions Steven Magnet's crying fit is done by a male voice actor.
Audio errors:
In the official recap, Twilight says "All ponies in this town are crazy!" twice.
Spike's line about stopping Nightmare Moon is looped.
Applejack's line about Twilight knowing what's going on is looped.
Twilight's line where she explains about having read about the Elements of Harmony and not knowing what they are overlaps with Pinkie Pie's line following it.
Twilight's line where she asks Steven Magnet why he's crying is looped.
The Shadowbolts' "Izaberi... Ili mi... Ili oni..." clips out of their lip-syncing and is looped.
Rainbow Dash says "Thanks for your offer" twice.
The lines where Twilight talks about the sixth element and Applejack asking what that's supposed to mean overlap each other.
Princess Celestia's "Princess Luna." plays in the middle of her previous line, followed by "Now if only another will as well". Her line about calling Luna "little sister" also overlaps with the next line of dialogue due to being too long, leading to Twilight saying "'Little sister'?" before Celestia finishes her sentence.
Celestia's declaration of Twilight's "new task" is too long, leading to Twilight and her friends rejoicing before Celestia states that Twilight can stay in Ponyville.

This segment talks about the opening theme, which Suzuko Mimori sings.
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Pinkie Pie.
In the "Best Selection" rebroadcast, this segment is the same as The Ticket Master.
Pinkie Pie's singing in The Ticket Song is completely removed, leading to Pinkie Pie moving her mouth without making a single sound throughout the song. Twilight saying "Pinkie!" throughout the song is still kept.
When Spike reads Celestia's reply to Twilight's message that contained the two tickets, "My faithful student Twilight" is translated as "My faithful teacher Twilight". This is possibly a script slip-up as the words for "teacher" and "student" in Croatian are very similar.
The intro for this episode lacks audio excerpts from the Serbian Mini dub that the intro normally has. While it is mostly intact, the first few seconds have no singer and the last line is sung solely by Andrea Baković (the usual theme song performer) while both normally feature singers from the Serbian Mini dub as well. This also likely explains Pinkie's missing song dialogue.

The expression "Whoah nelly!" is replaced with "¿Qué sucede?".
While the first half is announced as "Berba jabuka, 1. dio", the second half is announced as "Odbrusiti prijateljstvo, 2. dio", which is both an inconsistency in titling and an error as the latter is actually the localized title for Griffon the Brush Off (with the sound clip also reused for the second half). A voice also randomly says "Velika berba jabuka" at the very begging shot of the episode, which is the localized title of this episodes Serbian Mini dub, from which this dub takes bits of.
A couple of Rarity's lines were voiced by Pinkie's VA instead of her own.
Whenever there's an instance of Applejack not hearing others well (such as when Twilight tells her they need to talk), their lines are not muffled.
When Pinkie Pie asks Applejack to fetch some ingredients, "soda" is translated as "beer" (even though beer is exclusively an alcoholic drink that cannot be purchased by anyone under 18 in Croatia).

Rainbow Dash: Hey, G, you're not upset about some silly candles, are you? Gilda: No way, Dash. Like I said, I'm down with a good prank. Rainbow Dash: Come on then, let's have some cake.
Twilight Sparkle: Wow, what was that about? [ponies talking indistinctly] Rainbow Dash: I'm sorry, everypony, for bringing Gilda here.
Junior Speedsters are simply called "Speedsters" (スピードスター, Supīdo Sutā).
The scenes in which Gilda is shocked by Pinkie Pie's joy buzzer and Rainbow Dash and Pinkie shock each other have been edited (slowed down and dimmed) to reduce the blinking flash effect of the sequences. This is presumably due to established guidelines for animated programs in Japan regarding flashing images.[1]

The "Proof is in the pudding" exchange goes as follows:
Spike: You can't believe it without seeing a thing.
Snails: It must have been interesting to see it.
Snips and Snails' "Major problem/Ursa Major" line became "Big trouble/Big problem", with a slight pause in the middle of "Big problem" (큰 고민거리, Keun gomingeori) to make it sound as if Snips was trying to say "Giant bear". (큰 곰, Keun gom)
Spike's reference to Fu Manchu beard is replaced with '"소" shaped beard', a Korean term for long moustache (ㅅ) and goatee (ㅗ), and "A soulpatch right on my chin!" is replaced with "Should I grow and braid my nose hair? In two braids!"

At the end of the episode, when Spike is wondering what kind of beard he would like most, one of the mentioned beard style is "Rumcajs beard". Rumcajs is character from Czechoslovak children books and a cartoon, also popular in Poland.

Fluttershy: An... an ava... ava... Twilight Sparkle: Shhh!
Rarity: Allow me, girls.
At the start of the episode, when Rainbow Dash is going for the ball-bouncing record, she's surpassed three hundred (counting off 354 and 355 before Pinkie Pie makes her lose count). "Applemini" (Applejack)
"Garagarashy", derived from "garagara" meaning raspy (Fluttershy)
"Twilight Funyafunya", derived from "funyafunya" meaning limp or soft (Twilight Sparkle)
Poison joke is called "laughing grass" (笑い草, warai kusa).
Little Pony TV
Suzuko asks about foods that ponies like to eat, and Twilight mentions cupcakes.
Some of the audio was directly lifted from the Serbian Mini dub.
When Twilight says no one can herd like Applejack, the former erroneously calls the latter "Jabučica" instead of "Ivka" (which is Applejack's localized name in this dub). As the episode uses assets from the Serbian Mini dub and Applejack's name in that dub is "Jabuklina", this is very likely a script oversight that did not account for proper character naming.

Rainbow Dash: Yeah, yeah... Applejack: You are not allowed to use your wings.
Art of the Dress uses excerpts from the Serbian Mini dub, both in audio form and lyrics only, along with several other changes. They are as follows:
Names of the main cast were taken from the Serbian Mini dub, leading to a naming inconsistency
Twilight calls the Canis Major constellation in the reprise an Ursa Minor and compares it to the Ursa Major despite the constellation being neither of the Ursas, something also present in the Serbian Mini dub
The "piece by piece" verses and Rarity's verses where she discusses with Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash and after in the reprise are entirely from the Serbian Mini dub. While the former has a partial voice-over to cover spelling differences between languages (e.g. "sjec" instead of "sec"), the latter leaves one word with the Serbian spelling (namely, "izmena" instead of "izmjena").
When Rarity asks Rainbow if she wants something changed, "cool" is translated as "modern".
The stanza with all of the main pony cast singing in the reprise has only one singer singing at a time, even when more than one of them is singing at once. One line in said stanza also has two words not appropriate for its syntax, leading to a confusing sentence: "Možda ti sve znači naporno jer toliko želja imamo"

The following lines and scenes are all cut:
Twilight Sparkle: But... Rarity: Not another word! I won't take no for an answer.
Rarity: You can't possibly be serious, Applejack! You absolutely must wear formal attire. Applejack: Hmm... Nah.
Rarity: That's it. Keep them closed. Don't look.
Twilight Sparkle: Wow... They're... Rainbow Dash: Yeah, they're... Applejack: They sure are... sumth'n. Twilight Sparkle: Yes! Something. Pinkie Pie: I love something! Something is my favorite! Fluttershy: It's...nice.
Twilight Sparkle: Thank you, Rarity. Pinkie Pie: Are you as happy with them as we are? Huh? Huh? Huh? Rarity: Well, I'm...happy that all of you are happy. I'm just relieved to finally be done.
Rarity: UUUAAA, what's wrong with the lights?! Oh, yes. That means the show's starting. Good.
Fluttershy: Uh... panic? Rainbow Dash: That's your answer for everything! Applejack: Well, we can't just leave Rarity like this. Pinkie Pie: She'll become a crazy cat lady! Twilight Sparkle: She only has one cat.
Applejack: Thanks to Fluttershy's freaky knowledge of sewing.
The song Art of the Dress is played in English with the Japanese lyrics being displayed on the bottom of the screen.

Japanese
The following lines and scenes are all cut:
Spike: I can't help it. Look!
Twilight Sparkle: Actually, Pinkie, I haven't the slightest idea.
Twilight Sparkle: C'mon, Spike, let's continue our practice session where there's a little less commotion.
Twilight Sparkle: Oh, wait. Don't tell me you believe in this stuff too?
Pinkie Pie: You okay?
Spike: Twilight? What are ya doing back there? Twilight Sparkle: Rrrrgh... Did you two plan this? Spike: Plan what?
Fluttershy flying over Froggy Bottom Bogg with a frog on her head
Spike: Holy guacamole! I wonder what that means! Twilight Sparkle: Probably that the flower smells good.
Spike: Guh—Hey! I thought you didn't believe in this stuff! Twilight Sparkle: I don't. I just want to be there to see the look on Pinkie's face when we find out nothing's wrong. Pinkie Pie: Okey-dokey!
Spike: Bbrrbbrrbbrr. Twilight Sparkle: What?
Spike: I know, but I... Well...
When Spike is backing out of the library (and the sound of a truck backing up plays), he is heard saying "バックします、ご注意ください" ("Bakkushimasu, gochuui kudasai"; "Backing up, please be careful"), a typical warning signal for Japanese vehicles when moving in reverse.
Lucy Packard was voiced by a man, although she is still referred to as a female.
When Rainbow Dash panics about what could happen to her if she were to lose, she mistakenly says that Princess Celestia will cast her out of the Everfree Forest instead of banishing her there.
Rainbowshine and Foggy Fleece both refer to themselves as males, despite being female and voiced by women.
Rainbowshine says the same thing Foggy Fleece does ("I could watch you all day!") instead of her suggestion of entering the competition while Rarity replies as if she did hear the suggestion, creating a plot hole as this script change makes it unclear where Rarity suddenly got the idea of entering the competition.
"Rainbow Crash" was translated as "Šeprtlja".
Princess Celestia's declaration of the winner (Rainbow Dash) has a grammar error, wherein she unnecessarily repeats "And so" within her sentence and creates a redundancy ("And so for her [...] Sonic Rainboom, and so I'll present this award...")
All scenes before the opening theme was cut, including Fluttershy's "Yay".
In the second and subsequent airings of the episode, the scene where Wonderbolts trying to save Rarity, but they were slapped(accidentally) by her is censored and cut.
Intro is in English but after the intro, the audio has turned to Indonesian intro but with the normal following video scene and then the audio is back to normal following the scene starts when Fluttershy says "Way to go".
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are all cut:
Twilight Sparkle: It was a crazy week of studying.
Fluttershy: [gasp] Did my cheering do that?
Rainbow Dash: That feeble cheering! Twilight Sparkle: What are you two arguing about?
Rainbow Dash: Yeah. I wish you guys could be there. Fluttershy's a great support, but her cheering isn't exactly inspirational.
Pinkie Pie: It's like the most coolest thing ever! Even though I've never actually seen it, but I mean COME ON! It's a sonic rainboom! How not cool could it possibly not be?!
Fluttershy: Don't listen to them. You're gonna win that competition for sure! Rainbow Dash: Are you kidding? I can't DO the sonic rainboom! And just look at these boring, plain old feathered wings. I'm doomed!
[knock, knock, knock] Rarity: I'm going to be a while!
Rarity: And I'm especially sorry that I was so thoughtless as to jump into the contest at the last minute after you had worked so hard to win it.
Rainbow Dash's second cry of "Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!"
The effect that flashes on screen when Twilight finishes the spell on Rarity is changed to a solid white screen in order to comply with the established guidelines for flashing lights.[1]
Twilight Sparkle has a recurring joke throughout this episode about Rainbow Dash turning blue.
Twilight mentions "Princess Celestia" as a "Queen", rather than "Princess".
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are all cut:
Scootaloo: We're on a crusade, a mission! Apple Bloom: To find our cutie marks! Sweetie Belle: Yup.
Scootaloo: I'm gonna get my mark first! Fluttershy: Girls? Sweetie Belle: Nuh-uh! Fluttershy: Should we-- Apple Bloom: I am! Fluttershy: Girls, okay, now settle--
Fluttershy: Mmm, I don't know... how about a nice quiet little tea party?
Scootaloo: But we're not even tired!
Apple Bloom: There's not much we can do from this room... unless we become Cutie Mark Crusader cottage cleaners. Sweetie Belle: N-no, thanks. Apple Bloom: Well, we have to think of somethin'. We can't just waste this opportunity to find out what our special talents are.
Fluttershy: [sigh] It really wasn't THAT hard ... I mean, all I needed to do was just show them who's in charge. Nothing's gonna get past Fluttershy! Good with animals, good with kids.
Fluttershy: Those girls have really done it this time! They've really bitten off more than they can chew! Oh, just like me! I never should have offered to watch them.
Fluttershy: Won't you stay for some tea? Rarity: I really must get back to the shop and clean up.

The part where Applejack walks over to the CMC's clubhouse window has no dialogue, resulting in a scene where Applejack quietly stands by the window for several seconds before suddenly cringing for seemingly no reason.
When Twilight walks into her library to find the CMCs rummaging through her books, Twilight says "And what do we need that for?" (with this line normally being spoken by Apple Bloom later on) and Apple Bloom has absolutely no dialogue in spite of her mouth moving.
Danish
Originally, some of the lines were in Norwegian. The fixed version was later made available on DVD and Netflix.

The following lines and scenes are all cut:
Scootaloo drawing the map of Ponyville at the episode's start
Sweetie Belle: Well, I've only come up with one part... but okay!
Spike: Huh. I should think not. What? Twilight Sparkle: Girls, I think you're going about this the wrong way.
Apple Bloom: And mind-blowin' dance moves. Scootaloo: This is gonna be soo amazing!
Sweetie Belle: Break a leg! Apple Bloom: Sweetie Belle! What a thing to say! Sweetie Belle: No, no, no. You see, in the theater it's considered bad luck to say "good luck". So you say "break a leg" instead.
Twilight Sparkle: I can't wait to hear you sing, Sweetie Belle. Sweetie Belle: Why does everypony always think I'm gonna sing? Scootaloo: Actually, Twilight Sparkle, I'm the main singer tonight. Twilight Sparkle: Oh? Apple Bloom: And I'm the main dancer. Hi-ya! Twilight Sparkle: Oh? Sweetie Belle: And I'm in charge of... Twilight Sparkle: Costumes? Sweetie Belle: And sets and props. How'd you know? Twilight Sparkle: Really, girls? Are you sure...?
During the song the line "We'll test our talents everywhere until our face is blue" is changed to "That's why we'll try out various things" (In Japanese, various is "iro na" with the kanji "iro" meaning color, and thus is fitting for the point when a colored light is shone on Scootaloo's face).
Little Pony TV
"English with Ponies": This segment briefly discusses Rainbow Dash and teaches the English word "fly" (飛ぶ, tobu).

Fluttershy: But they blocked up all the holes.
Twilight Sparkle: But Spike, Rarity is the only one who knows how to find gems. Spike: No, Twilight. You can! You can copy Rarity's gem-finding spell.
Rarity: What? But you said you wanted me to find the gems. Spot: Yes! Find and then dig.
Rarity: Forgive me, but prior to you so rudely dragging me into your dirt pit, I had a pony-pedi, and I am not about to chip a hoof because you dislike my style of digging.
Rover: Smeeeeeell? Rarity: Ah, mystery solved. It's your breath.
Rarity: Just because I'm a lady doesn't mean I cannot handle myself in a sticky situation. I had them wrapped around my hoof the entire time.

Diamond Dogs are called "Psy na Diamenty" ("Pies na Diamenty" in singular) which is a play on a phrase "pies na baby".

Most of Spike's fantasy about saving Rarity is abruptly cut.
Fluttershy: [sigh] What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Rarity: Isn't it? Though I was so afraid you wouldn't agree to model for me that I felt completely frazzled. I think I feel a pimple coming on. Oh! Only one solution! Rarity: The usual!
Rarity: Hm... She's going to want to see attitude and pizzazz. Fluttershy: A-a-attitude and, um... pizzazz. Rarity: More light! It has to catch the sequins just so or the whole outfit is just a disaster. Oh, and the headdress need more feathers. Pinkie Pie! More feathers! And sequins! More sequins!
Fluttershy: Oh, Rarity. I was so worried I'd ruined everything. Rarity: Oh, never. I knew you'd be perfect. [excited giggling]
Chief Thunderhooves' line after Pinkie Pie's You Got to Share, You Got to Care song is too short, leaving a second of his mouth moving without any sort of dialogue. Said part also has a stretching sound effect and background music mixed in.
Pinkie Pie's song reprise that re-triggers the impeding attack has no dialogue, leaving only instrumental music.
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are all cut:
Spike: Bloomberg...? Bloomberg? Sorry, but I tend to snore a bit. Good night. [sigh]
Pinkie Pie: I am?
Spike: Dash, Pinkie, 'sup? Hey, no worries I know those guys. They're cool. Buffalo: If you say so, Spike. Catch ya later, bro.
Little Strongheart: They planted apple trees all over it without asking our permission. Pinkie Pie: Well, that's not very nice. Right, Rainbow Dash? Rainbow Dash: Hmph!
Applejack: I want my kin to have what they need to live... but a storm's a-brewin' here. And I don't like the look of it. Twilight Sparkle: We've just got to talk some sense into them before somepony gets hurt. Listen, maybe if you would just reconsider, we– Rarity: About the trees. Now if you could–
The scene in which Rainbow Dash encounters Little Strongheart on top of the train is dimmed slightly.
The sequence in which Chief Thunderhooves gets hit by a pie after Sheriff Silverstar runs out of pies to throw is slowed down slightly.

Applejack: Phew! Now I can eat somethin'! I'm starved! Oh...
Fluttershy: I'm sure the princess will appreciate the help.
Fluttershy: Oh, Philomena. I thought it would be easy to nurse you back to health.
Twilight Sparkle: But it can't be anything good. She might banish you from Equestria. Or throw you in a dungeon. Or banish you and then throw you in a dungeon in the place that she banishes you to! Fluttershy: You really think the princess would do that?
Rainbow Dash: What are you two doing? Are you having a race? Oh, can I play? One, two, three, GO!
Hummingway is renamed Hemingway.
The scene in which Fluttershy gallops to catch Philomena as she falls is slightly dimmed.
Examiner 1: Well, Miss Sparkle? Examiner 2: [cough]
Princess Celestia: Well?
Cherry Fizzy: Are you okay? Twilight Sparkle: [giggle] Um... yes.
Scootaloo: You have no idea what I've been through today to hear that story.
Twilight Sparkle: Dear Princess Celestia, Today I learned something amazing. Everypony everywhere has a special magical connection with her friends, maybe even before she's met them. If you're feeling lonely and you're still searching for your true friends, just look up in the sky. Who knows? Maybe you and your future best friends are all looking at the same rainbow. Spike: Gross! When did you get so cheesy? Twilight Sparkle: Just write it, Spike.
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Scootaloo.

Twilight Sparkle: Aww... He's worked himself to the bone. Pinkie Pie: And now the punch has been... "spiked"! [ponies laughing]
Pinkie Pie: I'm... HOOked! [everybody laughs]
Rainbow Dash: He's probably just jealous of Owlowiscious. Fluttershy: Maybe Spike feels threatened or worried that Owlowiscious will replace him? Twilight Sparkle: Replace him? Hah! That's crazy! Spike knows he can't be replaced.
The first scene in which lightning flashes behind Spike in the cave is slowed down and dimmed, in order to comply with the established Japanese TV guidelines on flashing lights.[1]

Fluttershy: And, uh, he wants us to look after his house... uh, cave... while he's, uh... Rainbow Dash: A-at the beach! Pinkie Pie: He's vacationing at the beach? Rainbow Dash: Yup! He loves to... Fluttershy: [over Rainbow Dash] Collect sea shells! ...Play beach volleyball! ...Collect volleyballs! Rainbow Dash: [over Fluttershy] Play beach volleyball! ...Collect sea shells! ...Play sea shells!

In this episode and the second part, some of Discord's laughs and chuckles from the original English track are mixed in, with the ones from this dub playing over a few of them.
Discord is called "Razdor".
Audio errors:
When Celestia tells about Discord, the line mentioning his name plays twice.
As Celestia is telling that she and Luna are no longer connected to the Elements of Harmony, Twilight's line plays before Celestia's line is finished.
Celestia's questioning of how the Elements of Harmony were taken is too long in comparison to the original script, with the "That chamber is protected" part taking up the entirety of the original line and "This doesn't make sense" playing after Discord's chuckle (i.e. when Celestia stops speaking).
Rainbow Dash's "Hey!" when she tries to attack Discord is replayed several times, first after her "Nopony insults the Princess", then a second time after she crashes into the stained window, and then two more times after her declaration of loyalty to Princess Celestia.
The line containing Rainbow Dash's aforementioned declaration of loyalty plays before Discord is done talking about her.
While Discord is explaining the "second rule" of his game, Fluttershy's gasping at her disappearing wings is replayed.
During Applejack's vision of her friends disbanding, Fluttershy's and Pinkie Pie's lines overlap each other and Rarity's line plays after she closes her mouth.
During Pinkie Pie's visit to Discord's balloon party trap, her entire dialogue up until "What gives?" (which follows a replay of her laughing) is too long due to her second sentence cutting into the part where she's tripped and her yelp playing a couple of seconds after she's shown covered in mud.
Pinkie Pie's "My friends laugh with me, not at me" and Discord's "Really?" overlap each other.
When Pinkie Pie is surrounded by balloons resembling her friends laughing at her, a short audio clip of dubbed Discord's laughter is played over the balloons' laughing several times.
Lines of dialogue where Pinkie Pie begs her "friends" to stop laughing at her and declares that laughter doesn't make her happy have a chorus effect, leading to Pinkie Pie sounding multi-voiced out of nowhere.
When Discord brainwashes Fluttershy, he says the last word of his sentence ("oholost") twice in a row before saying "Ciao" and disappearing.
When Fluttershy says "Boo hoo" to Twilight, a sound clip of Rarity lifting the "diamond" up from earlier is played right after. The same sound clip also plays after Rainbow Dash says "I have you now, element".
Rainbow Dash's "Nooo!" after her "vision" of Cloudsdale collapsing is played twice in a row.
When Twilight says "Kako je to moguće?" after seeing Rainbow Dash fly away, the beginning of her dialogue as she's shown carrying Rarity's "diamond" is replayed.
When Discord declares that someone disobeyed his rule of no flying, his "Well well well" is replayed. It also replays before Discord begins laughing as the episode ends.
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are cut:
Cheerilee: This one represents "Victory". Scootaloo: How cool would it be to have that for a cutie mark? Apple Bloom: Cool, if you were actually victoryful at somethin'. Sweetie Belle: That's not a word! Scootaloo: What are you, a dictionary? Cheerilee: Girls!
The entire opening scene after the opening theme, with Rainbow Dash and the cotton candy clouds
Pinkie Pie: Oh, well. If anyone needs me, I'll be outside in the chocolate puddles with a giant swizzle straw.
Twilight Sparkle: What do you suppose has her so upset? It's not like her. Applejack: I didn't notice anything strange about Pinkie. Twilight Sparkle: Weird.
The scenes in which lightning crashes around Discord are slowed down in order to reduce the blinking flash effect.[1]
The "To Be Continued" text on the ending card is edited to say "つづく..." (Tsuzuku..., or To Be Continued...). In addition, Discord reads it aloud.

Twilight Sparkle: So... got any problems, troubles, conundrums, or any other sort of issues, major or minor, that I as a good friend could help you solve? Spike: Huh. Hmm. Huunh. Huh... I got nothin'. Twilight Sparkle: [sigh] Then it looks like I'm going to have to find somepony who does. Spike: [sigh] This won't end well.
Little Pony TV
This segment, called "Pony's Music" (ポニー'sミュージック, Ponīzu Myūjikku), showcases the Laughter Song, called "Laugh, Everyone" (みんなで笑っちゃおう, Minna de Waracchaou) in the Japanese dub.
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Apple Bloom.
"Nightmare Night festival" is translated as "Nightmare Éjszakája fesztivál", with "Nightmare" being pronounced as [naːjtmeːr] ("nájtmér"). "Nightmare Night" itself is called "Nightmare bál" during the chant of the fillies. The same mispronunciation of "Nightmare" is present.
Star Swirl the Bearded is translated as "Star Swirl, a nagy szakállú", with "Swirl" being pronounced as [svirl] ("szvirl").
Instead of Spike telling Twilight that he loves the candies he's eating, he instead tells her that students would love a pony history course taught by her - referencing the previous line of Twilight.
The "Nightmare" in "Nightmare Moon" also has the same pronunciation error as all previous mentions of the English word. The only exception to that is Pinkie Pie, who says the word correctly.
The word "demure" was translated as "tétova".
The following exchange...
Princess Luna: Charmed. Fluttershy: Likewise.
... was given a translation with which the dialogue makes no sense:
Princess Luna: Varázslat. Fluttershy: Úgyszintén.
The overly formal lines of Luna, including those with old English, were translated with no regard to accent or style.
"Huzzah!" was translated as "Hurrá!", the Hungarian equivalent of "Hooray!".
Pinkie Pie saying "Well, duh." was translated as "Nahát!", a Hungarian expression used when one's surprised. With that, Pinkie Pie did not confirm that she was aware of Luna not being able to eat her, and thus, it didn't make sense for Twilight to be surprised at Pinkie Pie.
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are cut:
Twilight Sparkle: Look at the borders on these robes. These are hoof-stitched! Spike: It's a great costume! Huh! Grandpa! Twilight Sparkle: [growls]
Applejack: While y'all are here, ya' feel like bobbin' for an apple?
[ponies cheering] [ponies whimpering] Sassaflash: Aah! Princess Luna: It is of no use, Twilight Sparkle. They have never liked us and they never shall. Twilight Sparkle: My friend Applejack is one of the most likable ponies around. I'm sure she'll have some ideas.
Applejack: [sigh] Shoot. We had everything goin' our way. Luna was happy, everypony in town was happy, now look at 'em. Noi: [crying] But I wanted to be a zombie next year. Twilight Sparkle: It's not over yet. Applejack: What are you gonna do? Twilight Sparkle: I'm going to do what I do best. Lecture her!
Twilight Sparkle: There's something I want you to see. And I promise that it's safe, but you really, really, really can't shriek.

While the alterations in poems and songs are often made, there is a line in Zecora's tale, that deserves mention: „Koszmarna Luna nie zna litości - zjada kucyki, wypluwa kości.”
Princess Luna, instead of "The fun has been doubled", said "Perfect fun".
Rarity: Well now, Sweetie Belle, I appreciate the gesture, but we simply can't eat this breakfast. It's burnt. Sweetie Belle: It's not that burnt.
Rarity: [sigh] Sweetie Belle, what am I going to do with you? Sweetie Belle: Oh! We could paint together, we could ride bikes, play chess, sing a song, catch frogs, pillow fight– Rarity: That's not what I meant! Sweetie Belle: Oh. Rarity: Now I have to go and find some more of these gems! Sweetie Belle: I'll go with you and help! Rarity: No! No thank you.
Applejack: Honey, Rarity thinks everything's uncouth. Apple Bloom: [with mouth full] What's uncouth? Applejack: It means uncivil. Y'know, bad mannered? Apple Bloom: [belch] Applejack: Exactly.
Rarity: Well, no matter. She still shouldn't have touched my things without permission. Hm!

In the custom recap preceding the second half, the narrator mentions that Apple Bloom is "experiencing strange things" and then at the end asks "Will Apple Bloom get better?", hinting early on that she is dealing with a disease before this fact is actually revealed.
"Is it an 'O'? Is your talent spelling?" is changed to "What does your 'zero' mean? Is that your grade in spelling?".
The cutie pox is called "znakovite ospice". The episode title, however, calls it "ospice vještina" instead.

When Rainbow Dash initially meets Tank, a combination of a script error and strange audio editing leads to the following exchange between Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy:
Rainbow Dash: Seriously, Pahuljica? A turtle? No. Why did you bring a tortoise? But...! Fluttershy: She's a tortoise, and she always dreamed of being some pony's pet. [...] Rainbow Dash: [growls] No. Alright.
Tank's gender faces inconsistency; for most of the episode he's referred to as a female, but at the end he is referred to as a male.
The Ghastly Gorge, while normally called "Sablasni Klanac" in the episode, is misnamed as "Slabasni Klanac" the second time Rainbow Dash mentions it.

Twilight Sparkle: Well, we had initially planned on inviting Rainbow, of course, except– Pinkie Pie: We were totally gonna invite you, Rainbow, then Twilight remembered that you don't even have a pet, and Rarity remembered that you really like to take naps in the afternoon, so Applejack figured you wouldn't be missing out on anything anyway, and Fluttershy and I nodded our heads in agreement like this. Fluttershy: Oh, please don't be mad at us.
Rainbow Dash: But don't say I didn't warn you! This isn't a game, you know! Alright, now these games will determine which one of you has the most important qualities I'm looking for in a pet. Speed. Agility. Guts. Style. Coolness. Awesomeness. And radicalness. Twilight Sparkle: Aren't those all the same thing? Rainbow Dash: You would think that, Twilight. And that's why you would never qualify to be my pet.
Rainbow Dash: Speed!
Little Pony TV
"English with Ponies": This segment discusses drawing and teaches the English word "picture" (絵, e).
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Sweetie Belle.
The intro sequence after the studio-made recap at the beginning of the second half is almost entirely replaced by footage from before the intro (ending on a brief shot of Twilight's hot air balloon before resuming where it left off), only leaving the opening theme audio playing over it.
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are cut:
Rarity: Thank you so much! Twilight Sparkle: Wow, Spike, that's one of the kindest, most generous things you've ever done. I've never seen Rarity so happy! Spike: I will never wash this cheek again. [sighs and laughs]
Twilight Sparkle: Just about finished, Spike? Everypony will be here soon.
Cheerilee: Well, happy birthday, Spike! I wish I had something to give you! Uh...
Junebug: Happy birthday, Spike. Spike: Aren't you gonna give me something? You know, like a birthday present? Junebug: Um, I... I don't have anything.
Spike: Wow, you're right, Twilight.
Twilight Sparkle: Mature? So he's just... growing up? But that doesn't explain why he keeps grabbing things.

Little Pony TV
"English with Ponies": This segment discusses the pony plushies and teaches the English word "plush" (ぬいぐるみ, nuigurumi).
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Scootaloo.
The first scene with Twilight and company on the train
Fluttershy: No? Rarity: Of course not. All across Equestria, ponies are preparing their own pageants for Hearth's Warming Eve in their own towns. It's tradition. Fluttershy: So you're saying they'll be too busy to come to our play? Rarity: Well, no. We're in the Canterlot pageant, the biggest, most important production in all of Equestria. A lot of ponies will come to watch us. Fluttershy: A lot? Rarity: Hundreds. Fluttershy: Hundreds? Rarity: [gasps] Maybe even thousands! Fluttershy: [yelps]
Pinkie Pie: Can you think inside a chimney?
The scene in which lightning flashes on screen is dimmed and slowed down to reduce the blinking flash effect.[1]
Little Pony TV
This segment discusses a My Little Pony toy giveaway as part of a Christmas Eve promotion.
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Spike.
Granny Smith's Alphabet song remains the same as in the English version despite the Croatian alphabet containing extra letters, and as a result several letters are missing in the alphabet.
Zap apples are called "Magic Apples". To comply with Apple Bloom describing them as magical halfway throughout the episode and avoid redundancy, her line was changed to say: "Magic apples are not regular apples, after all they're... magic!"
Timberwolves are renamed to "Forest Wolves".
Filthy Rich is renamed "Bogatun". Cheerilee calling him "Mr. Filthy" before correcting herself is also changed to have her call him "Bahatun" (a play on the word "bahat", which means "arrogant").
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are cut:
[wind blowing] Big McIntosh: [sniffs] [electricity crackling] Applejack: There's the zap apple leaves, right on schedule!
Granny Smith: [singing to the tune of "Skip to My Lou"] Gonna make zap apple jam, hoop-dee-hoo! Gatherin' my goodies now, hoop-dee-hee! Singin' and dancin', diddley-hoo, flippity-floo, my darlin! [voice cracks]
Applejack: I'm sorry, Apple Bloom. I already told you that we just can't take a break from harvest to come to your school. You know what'll happen. Apple Bloom: I know... After the fifth day, the zap apples disappear...
Apple Bloom: She never wakes up from her nap! [muffled] I wish I could just run off and hide!
Zap apples are called "biribiringo" (ビリビリンゴ), derived from "biribiri", the Japanese sound effect for an electric shock, and "ringo", meaning apple.
The schoolhouse's Family Appreciation Day is called "Family Speech Day".
The scene in which the zap apple trees grow out of the ground in Granny Smith's flashback is slowed down, in order to comply with Japanese TV guidelines on flashing lights.[1]
Little Pony TV
This segment introduces and discusses Princess Luna.
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Princess Luna.
In the "Best Selection" rebroadcast, this segment is the same as It's About Time.
Korean
Granny Smith's (and other ponies') Alphabet Song was replaced with Korean children's song 산토끼(Santokki, Hare)
Latino-American

The episode was never shown on television broadcasts and was soon made available on Netflix.
During Pinkie Pie's Piggy Dance, the babies' crying is completely absent from the soundtrack.
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are all cut:
Pinkie Pie: But I was just– Nurse Redheart: Shhh. Pinkie Pie: But– Nurse Redheart: Shhh! Pinkie Pie: [quieter] Happy happy birthday to you and you today– [thud]
Mr. Cake: We'll frost it when we get there! C'mon, sugarplum, tick-tick!
Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake: [crying] Pinkie Pie: Oh, don't cry, little friends! Look, look! Where's Pinkie Pie...? Where's Pinkie Pie? Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake: [crying] Pinkie Pie: Oh no... I'm right here, see? Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake: [crying]
Pinkie Pie: Snack time. That's easy enough.
Pinkie Pie: Ex-cuse me?
Pinkie Pie: Well, of all the– She thinks I can't handle things on my own! Maybe because I haven't handled things on my own. Well, I can handle things on my own!
Derpy's name is translated as "Dupko". She is also referred to as a male by Rainbow Dash, although she's still voiced by a female voice actor.
The second half of the episode begins with a wipe feature (in this case, a rectangle iris) instead of a fade-in or a straight cut.
Cherrychanga is replaced with "Pala-Trešnja".
Audio errors:
While Derpy is complimenting Rainbow Dash, she also says "Oops" right before crashing into a wall beam (which coupled with the sentence's tone makes it sound like she did it on purpose).
During the parts where Rainbow Dash dodges the lightning and groans right before telling Derpy to be careful, she says "Yeah" from her reply to Derpy saying she doesn't understand how it could happen.
The line where Rainbow tells Derpy to sit down and do nothing is partially looped, ending in "No, no way!"
Mayor Mare's speech at the beginning is in slightly lower audio quality, making it seem as if the Mayor is talking through a megaphone.
Right after Mayor Mare's first sentence, a magical blast sound effect plays even though no instance of magic usage occurs at that time.
Pinkie Pie's speech as Applejack is about to board the train is too long, still playing even as Pinkie is busy eating candy and overlapping with Twilight's line a little.
Applebloom's farewell while Applejack is boarding the train is replaced by one of Applejack's previously recorded lines, saying "Of course, mayor!".
Applejack's line where she says "See you in 7 days" as the train departs is chorused.
After the train leaves, Twilight's groan is replaced by an instance of Rainbow saying "Yeah" from earlier.
Rainbow's rant about not wanting to go home empty-hooved overlaps with Fluttershy's line after.
Before Applejack declares she'll tell everything at breakfast, her sigh is that of Fluttershy's.
Rainbow's "Yeah, maybe" is partially looped.
Pinkie Pie's "Nopony breaks a Pinkie Promise" is replaced by a nondescript drawn out gasp followed by "Are you-".
Italian
Cherrychanga is replaced with "Frittelciliegia".
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are all cut:
Applejack: Oh, shucks. I'm not much for speeches. Pinkie Pie: Alright then, no speech! Applejack: Buuut!
The entire scene in Canterlot before the main cast moves on to Dodge Junction
Instead of listing off words that rhyme with "bean", Pinkie Pie lists off words that rhyme with "himitsu" ("secret"). The preceding line has Rainbow Dash accusing Applejack of keeping secrets.
The scene in which the lightning bolt flies across the screen, striking the tip of Rainbow Dash's tail, is slowed down and dimmed, in order to comply with Japanese TV guidelines on flashing lights.[1]
Outside of the chorus and some other moments, the song is spoken instead of sung.
Cider is referred to as juice in this song, while the rest of the episode refers to it as "jabukovača" (which can refer to both the alcoholic variant and regular juice, as well as apple pie).
The Flim Flam Brothers do not name themselves, only calling themselves "pony brothers".
In the chorus, the Flim Flam brothers claim that they came to "see miracles", as opposed to offering them to other ponies
Pinkie Pie's "Nonpa-what?" is translated as "Čudo? Što?!".
The chorus is copy-pasted in all instances of it appearing, along with the background music and sound effects accompanying it in a couple of cases.
While the cider machine is still sung about, some parts of the songs were changed to have the Flim Flam Brothers sing about themselves rather than their machine (e.g. saying "We're brothers, two charmers of this era" in place of "Flim Flam Brothers' Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000")
The line of dialogue where Flim asks Applejack if he and his brother can borrow their apples for their demonstration is changed to have him ask whether he and his brother can buy some of Sweet Apple Acres' products, followed by him saying that Applejack doesn't have to work hard to harvest the apples for their demonstration.
Italian
The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 is called "Super Spremimele"
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are all cut:
[knocking] Fluttershy: [yawns] Who could that be? It's still dark! [crash] Rainbow Dash: C'mon, Fluttershy! Cider season's about to start! Fluttershy: [squee] [shrieks]
Twilight Sparkle: Isn't this exciting, Spike? Opening day of cider season! Spike: Yeah! That means it's only thirty more days 'til sapphire season!
Ponies: [more complaining] Applejack: If y'all just be patient, we'll have plenty more tomorrow. Pinkie Pie: She's right, y'know! You can't rush perfection! And this year's batch was perfection! Fluttershy: Uh, Pinkie Pie– Pinkie Pie: I'll never forget the cider I just drank! It was a moment in time that will never exist again. [sighs] Rainbow Dash: [growls]
The "Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000" is referred to as the "Super Speedy Cider Machine" during the song.
Little Pony TV
"English with Ponies": This segment briefly discusses Rarity, Sweetie Belle, Applejack, and Apple Bloom, and teaches the English word "sister" (姉妹, shimai).
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Sweetie Belle.
Korean
Apple Cider is referred to as "Apple Soda" (사과 소다, Sagwa soda)
When Rainbow Dash said "The rush? Don't you remember what happened last year? Or the year before that? Or pretty much any cider season ever?", cider season is replaced with temporada de manzana or apple season.
It's also replaced with jugo or juice.
When Pinkie Pie said "I'll never forget the cider I just drank! It was a moment in time that will never exist again.", cider is replaced with jugo de manzana or apple juice.
Rest of main cast: [laughing] Applejack: Is she serious? Who doesn't like to read a bang-up tale from time to time? Rarity: Why, a good book is almost as magnificent as silk pajamas on a Sunday morning, heh! Twilight Sparkle: Reading is for everypony, Rainbow Dash! Pinkie Pie: Yeah! I love reading, and my head isn't even close to the shape of an egg! It's more the shape of an apple, or maybe an orange, but a big orange! More like a grapefruit really...
Rainbow Dash: [voiceover] "The smell of decay and danger hit Daring Do as she peered into the dimly-lit entrance of the ancient temple."
Rainbow Dash: H— oh, good evening— Doctor Horse: Morning. Rainbow Dash: —morning. Doc. Doctor Horse: Have you been up all night? Rainbow Dash: Uh, of course not. [blows] Doctor Horse: Well, I'll be quick.
Rainbow Dash: I'm an egghead. Rarity: Pardon?
Daring Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone is instead called Daring Do and the Legendary Sapphire Stone (by Rainbow Dash at the beginning of the episode) and Daring Do and the Elusive Sapphire Stone (by Twilight near the end of the episode).
Little Pony TV
"Pony's Music": This segment showcases Cutie Mark Crusaders Song, called "Cutie Mark Crusaders' Theme" (キューティーマーククルセイダーズのテーマ, Kyūtī Māku Kuruseidāzu no Tēma) in the Japanese dub.
The "Lucky Pony Slot" again fails to pick a pony, as two slots land on Apple Bloom and one lands on Spike.
Cranky Doodle Donkey (song) and Cranky Doodle Joy are not sung. In the latter's case, the entirety of the "lyrics" consists of Pinkie Pie's friendship lesson and a repeated instance of her saying that her birthday isn't for another 75 days.
The aforementioned Smile Song, while otherwise intact, has the "Come on everypony" part looped over the ending verses (together with sound effects of a few ponies opening their windows and what seems to be a low-pitched version of the lead singer's voice).
When Pinkie Pie asks Cranky Doodle Donkey about the place of origin for a couple of items, the names for Manehattan and Fillydelphia are those of real-life countries (Netherlands and Finland, respectively).
Audio errors:
Cranky telling Pinkie Pie to put down the bauble from Fillydelphia is looped.
Matilda's reply to Cranky asking if it's really her is looped.
Pinkie Pie saying that her birthday isn't for another 75 days is abruptly cut off, resulting in her sentence ending on "75". This is not the case with Cranky Doodle Joy, where her sentence is whole.
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are cut:

Pinkie Pie's scene with Daisy Jo
The felt-cutout sequence and Pinkie Pie's lines that come after

"Pony's Music": This segment showcases So Many Wonders, called "On the Ground For the First Time" (はじめての地上, Hajimete no Chijō) in the Japanese dub.
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Zecora.

When Mr. Waddle said "Aw, shucks, Miss Pinkie, you flatterer you.", Aw, shucks is replaced with Gracias or Thank you.
Cranky Doodle Donkey is instead named Burro Gruñón Rebuznón, or Heehaw Grumpy Donkey.
When Pinkie Pie talks with Cranky Doodle Donkey, she mentions names that begin with letter G of "BurroGruñón Rebusznón". She mentions:
"Pony's Music": This segment showcases At the Gala, called "The Long-Awaited Party!" (憧れのパーティ!, Akogare no Pāti!) in the Japanese dub.
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Cheerilee.
Latino-American
The quote "Oh no you don't. Cut in line, I'll take what's mine!" (English rhyme), said by Fluttershy, is replaced with "¡Ah, No lo harás. Si te metes, tendrás lo que mere'ces'!" to say an Spanish rhyme.
Polish
Fluttershy's confrontation with Shoeshine is translated as:
Shoeshine: Nie wiem. Może? (Uh, I guess maybe.) Fluttershy: Morze jest szerokie i głębokie. (A sea is wide and deep).
It's worth noting that „może” (maybe) and „morze” (sea) are perfect homophones in Polish.
After the intro theme during the second half, there's a video editing error where the first three seconds of the actual episode are inserted before the second half, leading to a case where the sunrise at the beginning is shown for a short time before abruptly cutting to Spike and Twilight walking towards "Madame" Pinkie's tent.
The recap during the second half mentions that Twilight finds out "she's only been driving herself crazy", essentially revealing that there's no disaster to begin with and thus spoiling the plot twist.
During Twilight's initial encounter with her future self, she exclaims that her future self is scientifically possible right after saying what just happened isn't. This is corrected the second time around, where her past self now says the correct translation.
Tartarus is translated as "the underground", possibly because the name normally refers to a Greek variation of Hell.
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are cut:
Spike: [sighs] I made it for you, Rarity. Why, yes, it is an ice cream house. Chocolate fudge shingles... rocky road garage...
Twilight Sparkle: Oh, hi, Spike!
Pinkie Pie: I just got it. Cool, huh? Twilight Sparkle: Yeah, uh... best one I've seen.
Twilight Sparkle: Are you sure? Pinkie Pie: Yep. Cool birthday present.
Pinkie Pie: It's only good for vague and immediate events.
Spike: Uhh... I don't think we need to sneak around, Twilight. It's not illegal to walk around Canterlot.
Twilight Sparkle: [hushed] No, it's not fun! Pinkie Pie: Aww. [rustling] [ripping sound] Pinkie Pie: I still don't understand how sneaking into the archives is gonna help her find out about her birthday present.

"English with Ponies": This segment discusses the IDW comics and teaches the English word "comic" (マンガ, manga).
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Rarity.
Polish
Cerberus is called by its Latin name - "Cerberus", even though there is much more often used polonized spelling - „Cerber”.
Similarly, Taratarus is called by its Greek name - "Tartaros", while polonized „Tartar” is commonly used.
After the intro theme during the second half, there's a video editing error where the first three seconds of the actual episode are inserted before the second half, leading to a case where the beginning scene with the burrow is briefly shown before abruptly cutting to a gang of dragons cheering (which is also quickly followed by a scene transition from the original episode, practically putting two transitions within less than 5 seconds).
Starting from this episode and lasting for the rest of the season, Rarity and Rainbow Dash both get voiced by the same person as Twilight Sparkle. As a result, Twilight's remark about their fake dragon cover possibly being blown due to three different voices coming from it is a minor plot hole due to all three of them sounding too identical for the argument to make sense.
When Spike finally enters the Dragon Lands, an unknown male voice says "Dobrodošao u dolinu zmajeva...".
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are cut:
Spike: You won't be laughing when you spill blueberries all over your scales. Feathers. That's one tough stain! Rainbow Dash: One tough stain against one lame dragon. [laughs] Rarity: You leave him alone, Rainbow Dash! Spike's style is unique. He doesn't have to look like other dragons.
Rarity, Spike and Twilight Sparkle: We know. Rainbow Dash: [under her breath] Rrgh.
Spike: Yeah! Maybe I am! Rarity: Rainbow Dash, I can't believe your silly plan actually worked. Ow. Spike: Alright, who's next? Garble: Getting a little cocky, huh? I like that. So how about you wrestle... him! Go! Spike: Whooooooooa!

One of the episode's transitions has a screen-peeling effect applied to it, despite the existing transition already consisting of cutting to a black screen before fading in to the new scene.
The disease that Fluttershy fakes having is referred to as chickenpox instead of pony pox.

Little Pony TV
This segment discusses the Pegasus Weather Management Team (天気を管理するペガサス族, Tenki wo kanri suru Pegasasu-zoku).
The recap during the second half claims that the ponies behind Gabby Gums are not a secret anymore, despite the fact the first half ends shortly after Rainbow Dash declares that she wants to see herself in the newspapers (and thus before the events that the recap describes actually take place).
Italian
Gabby Gums is renamed "Gomme da Chiaccherare".
Japanese
The following lines and scenes are cut:
Scootaloo: We tried everything, from papier-mâché to making birds' nests, and nothing worked.
All scenes and dialogue between Sweetie Belle's "We need to expand!" and Rarity's "Oh, this is the life, isn't it, girls?"
Gabby Gums is renamed "Gabby Chat" (ギャビーチャット, Gyabī Chatto).
Little Pony TV
"Pony's Music": This segment showcases The Flim Flam Brothers, called "The Super Speedy Cider Machine" (スーパースピーディーサイダーマシン, Sūpā Supīdī Saidā Mashin) in the Japanese dub.
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Applejack.
Latino-American
The "Foal Free Press" is called the "Periódico Equino Libre" and "Diario Equino Libre".
"Hooficure" is replaced with "Pedicura".
The phrase "daredevil license" is replaced with "licencia de acróbata".
The phrase "The Great and Powerful Trixie's secrets revealed!", said by Rainbow Dash is replaced with "Los grandiosos y poderosos secretos de Trixie".
Russian
Gabby Gums is renamed "Chatterbox" (Болтунья, Boltun'ya).
The second half of the episode begins with a wipe feature (in this case, the image stretching from the left side to fill the screen) instead of a fade-in or a straight cut.
The cards in the silent movie montage are left in English and spoken by Applejack's voice actor, with a slight distortion filter applied to the voice.
Con Mane is renamed "James Mane", likely to fortify the reference to James Bond.
For Mulia's "Chocolate Mousse Moose", "moose" is translated as "mus" and as such the translation is "Mus Mus". While it's technically not incorrect and plays along with the pun ("mus" can refer to both the dessert and the moose), a much more common and colloquial translation is "los".
The Cakes' dessert is translated as "Marcipan Maskarpone Meringva Ludilo".
Audio errors:
Gustave le Grand's line "But how?" plays at times other than its intended slot; it plays once after he brings up that all the desserts have been ruined, and two more times while Mulia Mild is "talking" after everyone has been rounded up for investigation.
During Mulia's part, the out-of-place clip completely replaces what was supposed to be "Why are we all here again?", resulting in Mulia saying "But how?" twice in Gustave's voice.
The audio is out of sync with the visuals, especially in the second half.
Mulia Mild's line about not being able to resist Joe's donuts is looped, along with dramatic music inserted into the background for reasons unknown.
The instance of Pinkie Pie shouting "A-ha!" plays several times throughout the episode.
Japanese
Most scenes and dialogue in the cold open are cut except for the following:
Pinkie Pie: Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness. You've really outdone yourselves, Mr. and Mrs. Cake. This is sure to be the winning entry of this year's national dessert competition! Mrs. Cake: Oh, thank you, Pinkie! Mr. Cake: And thanks for transporting it all the way to Canterlot for us.
Pinkie Pie: To the train depot!
Pinkie Pie: All right, everypony, we're in the home stretch here. Mr. Cake: [wheezing] Pinkie Pie: See, Mr. and Mrs. Cake? I got it here without a hitch! Now all we have to do is get it... in?
The Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness is renamed the Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Miracle (マジパンマスカルポーネメレンゲミラクル, Majipan Masukarupōne Merenge Mirakuru).
The title cards displayed during Pinkie Pie's fantasy of Gustave le Grand are edited to have Japanese text instead of English:
"Ouch!!" - "ぬほっ"
"Get your claws off that cake you cur!" - "ケーキにはツメ一本ふれさせない"
"Oh goodness!" - "どうしよう?!"
"Muhu ha ha!" - "なはーはははー!"
Joe's spy persona "Con Mane" is renamed "00-Pony" (ダブル・オー・ポニー, Daburu-Ō-Ponī).
Little Pony TV
"Pony's Music": This segment showcases Smile Song, called simply "Smile" (スマイル, Sumairu) in the Japanese dub.
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Pinkie Pie.
Polish
Joe's spy persona "Con Mane" is renamed "James Pony" (James Kuc).
The title cards displayed during Pinkie Pie's fantasy of Gustave le Grand are left in English, and instead being read by a voice-over actor.
Russian
Joe's spy persona "Con Mane" is renamed "Mean Mane" (Подлая Грива, Podlaya Griva).
Spanish (Spain)
The title cards displayed during Pinkie Pie's fantasy of Gustave le Grand are edited to have Spanish text instead of English (along with them being read out by the respective VAs of Gustave and Pinkie):
"Ouch!!" - "¡Ay!"
"Get your claws off that cake you cur!" - "¡Quita tus garras de esa tarta, canalla!"
Due to Princess Cadance's name being translated as "Kadenca" (which is pronounced exactly the same as "Cadenza" from her full name), it causes a minor plot hole regarding Twilight not remembering her former foalsitter through her full name by having the name she knew sound like a shortened form of the full name, making it seem like Twilight should've immediately recognized her foalsitter when she heard "Princess Mi Amore Cadenza". Amusingly, it also leads Shining Armor to say "Princess Mi Amore Cadenza is Cadenza" despite the slightly different spelling.
The reprise of B.B.B.F.F. uses an excerpt from the end of the first part of said song rather than entirely new lyrics.
The second half of the episode begins with a wipe feature (in this case, flipping) instead of a fade-in or a straight cut.
Audio errors:
At the beginning, Rarity's "Oooh!" is replayed after she tells how beautiful it is outside.
Twilight's line about Fluttershy's task overlaps with Fluttershy's line right after.
While Rarity is asking Twilight to confirm that they're helping around with the wedding of not just a princess but a captain of the Royal Guard as well, her "Aaaah!" from when Applejack explains her acronym ("N.P.F. - Najbolje Poni Frendice") is replayed.
Rarity's fainting sequence after the above scene has both her native Croatian dialogue and the original English recording playing at once.
After Shining Armor explains why there are guard everywhere, the instance of him calling Twilight "Twily" is replayed.
In Twilight's flashback, Wild Fire's "My dear" after Cadance calms her and Lucky Clover down with a love spell is looped.
After "Princess Cadance" tosses Applejack's food into thrash, a sound clip of Twilight saying "Joj braco!" plays.
During "Cadance's" visit to Pinkie Pie's party, Pinkie Pie's "Alright" and "Let's see" at the beginning of the scene are replayed - the first one after the latter line plays and after she tosses a pair of dice, and the latter one after Pinkie Pie thanks "Cadence".
During the Mane 6's discussion about "Cadance's" behavior, Twilight's line about Applejack's food overlaps with Applejack's line and two of Fluttershy's lines overlap with other recordings after them (with Twilight's when telling about "Cadance" raising her voice, and with the bird's singing when telling that he really was off-key). Twilight's sentence about "Cadance" marrying her brother and Applejack asking about her being possessive also overlap each other.
Twilight's declaration about not being possessive of her brother is partially looped.
An instance of Twilight saying that "Cadance" is not just unpleasant and rude replaces her "She sure has a way of sneaking up on people" line.
"Cadance's" "You will be" is replayed just before the episode finishes fading out.
In spoken dialogue, "B.B.B.F.F." is translated as "anieishin" (アニエイシン), short for "aniki de eien no shinyū" (兄貴で永遠の親友). In the song B.B.B.F.F., it is translated as "onii-chan saikō no shinyū" (おにいちゃん最高の親友).
As with The Return of Harmony Part 1, the "To be continued..." text on the closing title card is edited to read "Tsuzuku..." (つづく...), and Princess Cadance reads it aloud.
Little Pony TV
This segment introduces and discusses Shining Armor.
The pony picked by the "Lucky Pony Slot" is Shining Armor.
Fake Cadance is referred to as "Mi Amore Cadenza" (middle word isn't declensible) two times, while as "Mi Amora Cadenza" (including all its declensions) seven times (and two additional times in the next episode, not including intro flashback scenes).
Changelings go completely unnamed (aside from Queen Chrysalis mentioning her army of "helpers"), instead being referred to as "army", "minions" and "they change forms".
Chrysalis is referred to by name twice, first time by the narrator during the opening of the second half of the episode and by Twilight during Shining Armor's wedding. Her name was translated as "Kristalina".
Twice during the Changeling battle - namely, when the Mane 6 fend off a Changeling group and when they find that the Changelings have gotten to the Elements of Harmony before them - there's an eerie, whispery male voice saying "Elementi sklada...".
The second half of the episode begins with a wipe feature (in this case, a page turning effect) instead of a fade-in or a straight cut.
Most of the lyrics bear a strong resemblance to those from the Serbian Minimax version, making it an exception among songs that were based on the Serbian Mini version instead.
Chrysalis' singing about lying about her love for the groom is changed to have her say that everyone should know everything will go her way, making it inconsistent with the visuals where she caresses a mannequin and destroys the hat lying on top of it.
"But I still want him to be all mine!" is changed to say "But I'll be the one to marry him!", even though marrying Shining Armor is not Chrysalis' (primary) motive.
"I don't fear that I may lose him/to one who wants to use him" is translated as "If I lose the prince, she'll be his", which is both inconsistent and inaccurate (as Shining Armor is not a prince).
Audio errors:
Most scenes in the introductory recap do not have voice actor audio that matches the same scenes found in the previous episode, leading to inconsistent dialogue that does not properly display either the current context or the characters' displayed emotions. Some examples include:
["Princess Cadance" meets Twilight for the first time] Chrysalis! Cadance:[Pinkie Pie's voice] I think this party will be just perfect, right? Twilight: [snarky] But nevermind, you'll find out once you get an invitation! Chrysalis!Cadance:[Pinkie Pie's voice] Thank you!
Twilight: [while telling "Cadance" off during the rehearsal] You couldn't have told me that personally, huh? 'Hey Twilight, I only wanted to tell you that I've made a great and important decision that changes everything'.
For most of the episode, the audio channels for background music and sounds are off-set (resulting in an echo-like effect) and are slightly out of sync with the visuals. This does not apply to dialogue.
In This Day Aria the last couple of lines are too long, causing Chrysalis' "Mine, all mine" to play just as she begins giggling.
Also in This Day Aria, several sound clips that do not belong are played; first is Pinkie Pie's "Yay!" after the first line, then a magic blast sound effect in the middle of the third stanza, and two unknown characters shouting "Watch out!" when Cadance and Twilight are launched into the air following a minecart crash.
When the real Cadance is about to declare that it's "her special day", a sound clip of Twilight shouting "Hey!" plays before Cadance's line plays. Said sound clip also plays after Twilight and Cadance teleport to a higher ledge before being found by brainwashed bridesmaids.
When the wedding guests gasp at a transforming "Princess Cadance", their gasps are removed and instead replaced by Cadance's short gasps.
Chrysalis' declaration of Shining Armor not being able to fulfill his duty as the captain of the Royal Guard is too short, with the remaining time for her line filled in with one of her evil laughs.
While Chrysalis struggles against Celestia's magical beam, her shrieks are replaced by her laughing.
After Celestia is brought down, a very brief snippet at the beginning of Twilight shouting "Princess Celestia!" is that from the original English track.
When Celestia is telling Twilight and her friends to get the Elements of Harmony, her line is too short to fit and is partially looped to fill the rest of her lip-syncing.
When Twilight and the transformed Changelings exclaim "Sjeti se, mjenjaju oblike!", the voice recording is of a slightly lower audio quality (akin to a person talking over a telephone). There's also only one instance of it when the Changelings talk instead of multiple ones at once.
A clip of Twilight saying "Ugh!" plays before her exclamation about the Changelings, when normally she says this after knocking a Twilight Sparkle Changeling out. It also plays when Chrysalis gasps at Cadance empowering Shining Armor, when Twilight runs off to Celestia after defeating the Changelings, and while Rainbow Dash is performing a Sonic Rainboom.
After Applejack tells Twilight "To sam ja, to sam ja!", an unknown character says Rarity's name.
Shortly after Chrysalis finishes her reprise of This Day Aria, audio from when Chrysalis stomps on the floor after Cadance attempts to attack her is mixed inbetween the song and Twilight rescuing Cadance.
Twilight's line about not knowing how Shining Armor got Princess Cadance to marry him overlaps with Shining Armor's reply afterwards.
German
The previous episode recap is cut from the German broadcast.
During The Failure Song, Twilight Sparkle only gives the square root to the sixth digit after dot (or comma, if we used Polish convention), instead of eleventh. In both languages it is incorrectly rounded down.
The death is mentioned at least twice in this episode. First, when Rainbow scolds Lightning Dust, she says, that her friends could die. Later, in Spitfire's office, Rainbow uses an idiom „działanie po trupach” (roughly: "going on despite dead bodies").
Some of the lyrics to Raise This Barn are lifted from the Serbian Minimax dub.
Polish
The tongue twister, that the foals have to say during the race is „W Szczebrzeszynie chrząszcz brzmi w trzcinie” (In Szczebrzeszyn a bettle buzzes in the reeds), a well-known line from Jan Brzechwa's poem „Chrząszcz”
As a side effect, a real life Polish town of Szczebrzeszyn is mentioned.
When Rainbow Dash comes to the Rarity's house, she says that her book is „o pegazie, który lata jak szatan” (lit. "about a pegasus that flies like a Satan"). In this case however, „szatan” describes someone highly energetic. The closest translation would probably be "flies like mad".
Even though the dub refers to the Crystal Empire as the Crystal Kingdom, it's called the Crystal Empire in this episode.
When Rarity enters the spa, she says "Stanite po zadi, treba mi vazduha". "Vazduh" means "air", but the more grammatically correct Bosnian word is "zrak". "Vazduh" is the Serbian word for air which is very rarely used in Bosnian literary language.
All of the film's songs are played in English, with the exception of the brief snippet of the Cutie Mark Crusaders Song.

Cheerilee, Mrs. Cake, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo are voiced by different voice actors than in the series.
The lyrics of the theme song were based on the one used in demo dubbing (distributed on DVD or VCD discs before show's TV premiere), rather than the one used in the show on TV.
Princess Luna refers to the Crystal Empire by its literal translation - „Kryształowe Imperium”, instead of the usual „Kryształowe Królestwo”.

In the first act (after the intro sequence), it's mentioned that there are only 3 months and 20 days left until initially intended release of Daring Do's next book, rather than 3 months and 26 days.
The title of the book at the very end of the episode is read out loud by a voice-over actor.
At one point during the episode, Spitfire refers to herself as male by incorrectly conjugating verb „widzieć” as „widziałem” instead of „widziałam”. In other instances during the episode, specifically when Soarin talks to Rainbow in the hospital and when Rainbow scolds Spitfire for having lied, Spitfire is still correctly referred to as female.
When Applejack asks Fluttershy about what Seabreeze has said (followed by Fluttershy refusing to translate), she refers to him as a female by mistake. In every other instance of gender-specific word usage pertaining to Seabreeze, he is referred to as a male.

In the boutique Fluttershy asks Twilight „Czy tanie czy drogie to czytanie?”. The joke comes from the homophonic nature of „czy tanie” and „czytanie”.
The peanut butter hoof joke („Kopytka z masłem orzechowym? Fuj, za żadne skarby świata!”) is based on the homonymity of two meanings of „kopytka”: "Little hooves" and a kind of Polish dish (it wouldn't taste well with a peanut butter).
The dialogue involving the snake situation at the Sweet Apple Acres goes as follows. Note that Polish uses the word „wąż” to refer to both a snake and a hose.
Discord: A wtedy Rainbow Dash zobaczyła węża.
Fluttershy: Ja myślę, że to był wąż ogrodowy.

I didn't get your messages until just now because I was caught in this time travel loop and, honestly, it was the strangest thing that's ever happened to me!" Note: the allusion is not clear when Twilight says she was stuck in a travel between dimensions instead in a time travelloop.

Spanish (Spain)

The line "Sweetie Belle loves playing dress-up" is translated as "Sweetie Belle szeret öltözködni".
Unlike most other episodes, "cutie mark" is translated as simply "jel" through out the episode, with Chipcutter saying "Végre megkaptam a jelet!".

"When the going gets tough, the tough don't notice because they have hard shells." is translated as "Amikor menni nehéz, a nehéz nem veszi észre, mert kemény kagylója van." rendering the inspirational quote meaningless. When Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy are first looking at the rollercoaster, Rainbow Dash says "¡Veinte por ciento más genial!" instead of "Pretty great, right?"
Applejack says "No quiero ser una aguafiestas." instead of "I wouldn't wanna rain on your parade." Rarity still worries about the rain, but for a different reason than the English version: the word "agua" in "aguafiestas" means "water", leading her to relate water with rain.
When Applejack confronts Vignette, she says "Apuesto diez manzanas a que es magia equestre." instead of "Ten eggs in a chicken coop says it's Equestrian magic."
Sunset Shimmer says to Vignette "Espera. ¿Por qué dices 'estamos'?" instead of "Hang on. Why does "we" include you?"
Vignette Valencia nicknames Applejack "Applejuan" instead of "Applejuice".
