Rainbow is the seventh of eight songs featured in My Little Pony The Movie. It is sung by Songbird Serenade, and it plays during her Friendship Festival performance and over the animated credits at the end of the film. It also plays briefly during Songbird's imprisonment in Canterlot after it's been taken over by the Storm King.

The song serves as the sixth track on the film's official soundtrack. Three snippets of the song are heard on the Singing Songbird Serenade toy.

Music video

In a Facebook Live session on September 12, 2017, Tara Strong and Andrea Libman—in their respective roles of Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie—announced that the song's music video would be released on Entertainment Weekly's Facebook page on September 14, featuring Sia's regular alter ego played by Maddie Ziegler. The video eventually appeared on said Facebook page of Entertainment Weekly five days later on September 19.
