Order of Tell Your Tale[]

The first 4 episodes were published on the same day, and the order was mixed up, and the wiki has it wrong. The correct order of the episodes is as follows:
- Sisters Take Flight
- A Home to Share
- Zipp Gets Her Wings
- Nightmare Roommate
I believe we should fix that. Mdashlw (talk) 05:10, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- The Wiki's ordering of the shorts follows their chronological upload order on the My Little Pony Official YouTube channel, and according to that, "A Home to Share" was first. Unless you have an official source indicating their proper order? 12:32, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- The upload order is arbitrary, as it differs from language to language (e.g., Turkish, Hungarian). There are now multiple sources confirming the aforementioned order:
- The official playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUnS6VWqJBaZqq_emLdwdCwU7O7RDEyxW
- YouTube's Content ID system (https://twitter.com/g5mlp/status/1513553277018775556)
- A Home to Share is confirmed to have production number 02
- The encoded date of the videos also confirms this order
- The official 24/7 live stream also streams them in this order

- UPDATE: New thumbnails with episode numbers were added to each episode in the following order:
- Sisters Take Flight
- A Home to Share
- Zipp Gets Her Wings
- Nightmare Roommate
- Welcome to Mane Melody
- The Unboxing of Izzy (so far so good)
- Foal Me Once (here comes production vs airdate) (production 7, airdate 8)
- Clip Trot (production 8, airdate 7)
- It's Tuesday
- Sunny-Day Dinners
- Maretime Bay Day 2.0
- I think that's more than enough now to fix the order of the first 4 episodes. Foal Me Once and Clip Trot are a different topic (production vs airdate).

- File:My Little Pony- Tell Your Tale - Episodes 1-6 COMPILATION - MLP (7)6(four) (talk) 18:25, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- https://twitter.com/g5mlp/status/1521492532135350274 (7)6(four) (talk) 08:23, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- Air date vs production order is another topic. I think we should just go with the release order, because we were never supposed to know the production numbers in the first place. It's also easier to follow than FIM, where there could have been different airings in different countries, or a random episode aired out of nowhere. Mdashlw (talk) 09:12, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
Official Synopses[]
They are adding official synopses to the episodes, should the wiki include those? For example, the official description of Mane Melody:
It's opening day at Mane Melody - the hottest new Karaoke-Salon in Maretime Bay, and Pipp is in her element as she styles everypony in town. But with customers come...reviews! Pipp struggles to accept anything less than a perfect rating from all her new customers, which proves especially trying when she comes up against the town's toughest critic - Phyllis! And when disaster strikes, shaking Pipp’s confidence its core, she must rely on the support of her friends and sister to get her groove back and win Phyllis over!

- I see no reason to deviate from the Wiki's usual method of summarizing content after their release. In most cases, official synopses are replaced with full summaries once the content is available in its entirety. And adding synopses as lengthy as this would do little more than pad out the Tell Your Tale page's length. 12:32, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
Episode Names[]
So far, we've been using the title from the end credits, and that's been fine. Until "The Game Is Ahoof", which is a play on the phrase "the game is afoot", while in the end credits it's "The Game Is a Hoof", which sounds incorrect. Makes me wonder if we should switch to internal names because youtube titles are a bit chaotic.

Terminology: shorts vs episodes[]
As far as I can tell, all official material refers to Tell Your Tale as a series of episodes, not shorts. Looking at https://mlp.fandom.com/wiki/My_Little_Pony_Friendship_is_Magic/Animated_shorts, TYT seems significantly different. The table also calls them "Episodes". Is there any particular reason they are considered shorts? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdashlw (talk • contribs) 13:00, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
