Tall Order is a male background Earth pony with a gray (sometimes brown) coat, two-tone pale blue mane and tail, gold eyes, and a varyingly-colored cutie mark of a scroll. He has a speaking role in the season one episode The Cutie Mark Chronicles.
Development and design[]
Tall Order resembles "Steel Wright", "Brindle Young", S05E12 Unnamed Unicorn Stallion #1, and "All Aboard".
Tall Order, along with Dane Tee Dove and Lady Gaval and as well as Surprise and Soarin, was to appear in Friendship is Magic, part 1.[1]
Depiction in the series[]
Tall Order in The Cutie Mark Chronicles.
Tall Order first appears, with a brown coat and a gray-papered scroll cutie mark, at Aunt and Uncle Orange's Manehattan dinner party in Applejack's flashback in the The Cutie Mark Chronicles. He asks the filly Applejack how she is finding Manehattan to be and what a rooster is.
Tall Order later appears with a brown coat during the song Becoming Popular (The Pony Everypony Should Know) in Sweet and Elite. In A Friend in Deed, Tall Order appears with a gray coat and a yellow-papered scroll cutie mark during Smile Song, standing next to Mayor Mare and Lady Gaval.
Tall Order, with a brown coat, attends the Grand Galloping Gala in Make New Friends but Keep Discord and watches a polo game outside Canterlot Castle in Princess Spike.
Merchandise[]
A mini-figure toy and collector card of Tall Order are included in the twenty-second wave of mystery packs. The collector card states about Tall Order, "He enjoys visiting friends." In the Canterlot Nights expansion set of Enterplay's collectible card game, Tall Order is named on card #64 F, which shows him with a gray coat and lists the quote "I'm afraid that Ponyville Town Code, section 7, sub-paragraph B, clearly states: no firing of party cannons in Town Square after dusk."
