The Magic Inside, or I Am Just a Pony,[2] is the fourteenth song of the fifth season of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, and the third of four songs featured in the twenty-fourth episode The Mane Attraction. It is sung by Coloratura. It is the third track on the album Pinkie Pie's Party Playlist.
Production[]
On December 2, 2014, Lena Hall posted on her Twitter account a brief video showing the recording session of the song.[3][4]
At the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con, this song was presented in storyboard animatics to attendees.
This song is a homage to Lady Gaga's acoustic versions of her songs.[5][6]
Ingram originally envisioned this song being performed with a full orchestra, but settled on piano and sparse strings.[7]
The song was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Original Song".[8]
