Thorn first appears in Sonic Rainboom as a worker in the Cloudsdale weather factory. In one scene, he admires Rarity's wings.
In season two, Thorn appears, changing between mane styles, in Hurricane Fluttershy as one of the participating Pegasi to transport water to Cloudsdale.
In season three, Thorn appears as a Wonderbolts cadet, usually seen marching with Rainbow Swoop, Whitewash, and Warm Front.
In season four, Thorn appears at the Equestria Games qualification tryouts in Rainbow Falls and at the Traders Exchange in Trade Ya!
In season five, Thorn helps transport snow clouds from Cloudsdale to Ponyville in Tanks for the Memories.
