Misty: I can't believe I finally got you! Opaline is going to be so happy! You're all she thinks about!

Sparky Sparkeroni: [gurgling]

Misty: [sighs] I'm sorry. But if you knew what it was like, you'd understand.

Sparky Sparkeroni: [gurgling, giggling]

Misty: [sighs]

[thunder crashing]

[theme song]

[birds chirping]

Hitch Trailblazer: [snoring, moaning, screams] That was a weird dream. I wish you could've seen it, Sparky. Kenneth was enormous, and he was stomping through Maretime Bay like a Birdzilla.

[creak]

Hitch Trailblazer: Spark-Spark? Buddy? Hmmm... Come on.

[clank]

Hitch Trailblazer: Kenneth?

Kenneth: [chirping]

Hitch Trailblazer: Oh, good. You're not Birdzilla. [chuckles] Have you seen Sparky?

Kenneth: [chirping]

Hitch Trailblazer: Thank you, sorry! Hmm... Where is my little rascal this time?

[doors open]

Sunny Starscout: Hey, Hitch!

Izzy Moonbow: [singsong] Goooood morniiiiin'! Whatcha doin'?

Hitch Trailblazer: Oh, I'm just looking for Sparky. He's wandered off again. Like he does. [chuckles]

Izzy Moonbow: [gasps] Oh, no! I take back my "good" in the "good morning"!

Sunny Starscout: Are you okay?

Hitch Trailblazer: Oh, yeah. He's done this before. We'll find him. No need to panic.

Zipp Storm: [yawns] What are we not panicking about?

Hitch Trailblazer: Sparky's playing hide-and-seek again.

Zipp Storm: Ah. Ah! Oh, no!

Hitch Trailblazer: But it's fine. He's around here somewhere. Probably just playing in Izzy's supply closet again.

Pipp Petals: [giggles] So no need for a new "Operation Glitterbomb" then?

Hitch Trailblazer: Uh, nope.

Izzy Moonbow: Awww. Are you sure?

Hitch Trailblazer: Uh-huh.

Izzy Moonbow: Empty!

Hitch Trailblazer: Huh? I was sure he'd be here.

Sunny Starscout: So was I... Um, not to worry! [clears throat]

You hear that sound

[beat]

[flute squeaks]

Izzy Moonbow: Sorry.

[Sunny, Pipp, and Zipp]

The melody that's ringing out

Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

[beat]

Hitch Trailblazer: Come on, little guy...

[ominous music]

[door opens]

Sparky Sparkeroni: [gurgling]

Misty: Is it just me, or have you gotten way cuter all of a sudden?

Sparky Sparkeroni: [gurgling]

Misty: Oh, you're making this so hard! I don't know what to do! Take you back or give you to Opaline? Take you back or give you to Opaline?

Sparky Sparkeroni: [burps]

Misty: Aw, that was cute. And kind of gross. Okay, that does it! I can't do this! I can't! I'm taking you back!

Opaline: Misty! What have you been doing all morning? You've been gone forever— [gasps] Oh! You secured the dragon! I can't believe it!

Sparky Sparkeroni: [gurgling]

Opaline: And what a fine specimen he is! I must admit it, Misty. I didn't think you had it in you.

Misty: Oh. I guess I did though.

Opaline: Look at you, little dragon. You're even better than I imagined. I have the most lovely place for you to play. Would you like to see it?

Sparky Sparkeroni: [gurgles inquisitively, gurgles excitedly]

Misty: [sighs]

Sparky Sparkeroni: [fascinated gurgling]

Misty: Wow, you really like him, don't you?

Opaline: Like him? [laughs] I adore him.

Misty: [gasps] That's where you're going to keep him?! Um, uh, couldn't we find somewhere more, um... comfortable? That bubble cage looks a little, um... dangerous.

Opaline: Not to worry. I'll only keep him there until he's done being drained. And then... well, let's just say he'll be useless.

[low humming]

Sparky Sparkeroni: [exhaling]

Opaline: My, that's a long drop.

[ominous music]

Zipp Storm: Sparky?

Sunny Starscout: Sparky! Come on out!

Hitch Trailblazer: Sparky! Here, Sparky!

Pipp Petals: Sparky? Sparky, where are you?

Sunny Starscout: Sparky?

Hitch Trailblazer: Sparky?

[discordant flute sounds]

Zipp Storm: Maybe the lullaby isn't working and we can give the flute a break?

Izzy Moonbow: [panting] That was starting to make my brain all twisty-turny. Ugh.

Hitch Trailblazer: Sparky? Come out! I've got snacks for you! [chuckles nervously]

Sunny Starscout: Don't worry, Hitch. We'll find him.

Hitch Trailblazer: [nervously] Uh-huh. Absolutely. I've learned my lesson from last time. Sparky will be just fine. I know it. Heh.

[somber music]

Opaline: Finally, I will possess my full enhanced fire powers! I've been waiting for this moment for so long! Hundreds of moons!

Misty: That's great, Opaline!

Opaline: Ugh.

Misty: [gasps]

Sparky Sparkeroni: [weak gurgle]

Misty: It's not great. I'm the worst pony in the world.

Opaline: What did you just say? Seriously, Misty, I've told you a thousand times I can't understand you when you mumble!

Misty: Oh! Uh, I just said you must be so excited for tonight!

Opaline: Of course I am. Now, I have to go do my pre-ceremony magic cleansing and decorate the lair for the event. Don't disturb me until I'm finished. Understood?

Misty: [sighs, grunts, sighs] I'm sorry, Sparky. I've made a horrible mistake.

Sparky Sparkeroni: [whimper]

Misty: [gasps, sighs] I'm going to find help! I promise!

[door opens]

Sunny Starscout: Not here!

Pipp Petals: Or here!

Zipp Storm: Not under mine either.

Izzy Moonbow: Ooh! Look what I found!

Hitch Trailblazer: Sparky!

Izzy Moonbow: Oh, sorry. Yeah, he's not here either. But I was looking for this. [blows party horn]

Hitch Trailblazer: [sighs] Now I'm not saying I'm nervous... [chuckling nervously] But we've looked everywhere!

Pipp Petals: Maybe Sparky got hungry and went out looking for a treat in town.

Hitch Trailblazer: No way! I keep one of these in every room Sparky might go in, and they're all still full!

Sunny Starscout: Maybe Sparky's at the magic tree again?

Zipp Storm: That's right! You did say he's been spending a lot of time there lately. He's very drawn to it.

Hitch Trailblazer: Of course! Let's go check the tree!

Sunny Starscout: Okay, everypony. Remember to stay calm this time.

[door opens]

Misty: [grunting]

[thudding]

Sunny Starscout: Misty! We're about to go look for Sparky. Do you wanna help?

Misty: I saw him! [panting] I saw somepony dragon-nap him!

Hitch Trailblazer: What?!

Zipp Storm: It's the evil Alicorn! I know it! I warned you ponies that we were in danger!

Pipp Petals: How did she find Sparky?!

Hitch Trailblazer: What does she want?!

Misty: [panting] I know. I mean, I... saw where they went. I can take you there. To Sparky. But we'll have to hurry!

[door opens]

Hitch Trailblazer: You're sure you know which way to go, Misty?

Misty: Positive.

Zipp Storm: How are you so positive?

Misty: I, uh... I just... saw them!

Zipp Storm: You saw the evil Alicorn kidnap Sparky? And we know somepony must've told her where Sparky is in the first place?

Sunny Starscout: Well, we know it wasn't Misty. It wasn't any of us. We would never do that to each other, right?

Hitch Trailblazer: Right.

Izzy Moonbow and Pipp Petals: Right!

Misty: Right!

Zipp Storm: Right...

Sunny Starscout: Now let's stay focused. Sparky needs us!

Misty: It's that way!

[epic music]

[engine roaring]

[thunder crashing]

Sunny Starscout: Are you sure this is the way?

Misty: It's down there.

[whoosh!]

Izzy Moonbow: This is the spookiest place I've ever seen.

[hissing]

Izzy Moonbow: [humming, gasps]

[thunder crashing]

Izzy Moonbow: I take it back. This is the spookiest place I've ever seen!

Hitch Trailblazer: Sparky's in there?! [gulps]

[door opens]

Sunny Starscout: I can't believe this is here.

Pipp Petals: She's got great style! [clears throat] Great evil style.

Zipp Storm: What is this place, Misty?! And how do you know your way around so well?!

Misty: There's no time to explain!

Hitch Trailblazer: Where's Sparky?!

Misty: We have to get him before Opaline comes—!

Opaline: Oh, I'm right here!

[shimmering]

Mane 5: [gasp]

Opaline: Good work, Misty!

Misty: [gasps]

Opaline: I expected the dragon, but you brought the whole set!

Misty: Ah!

Sunny Starscout: Misty?

Opaline: As soon as I'm done draining that little lizard of every ounce of his precious magic, I'll be able to steal the source of theirs, too... Their cutie marks! [laughs evilly] Ah. What an added bonus. Come, Misty.

Sunny Starscout: No! It can't be true!

Pipp Petals: She's lying! Right, Misty?

Zipp Storm: No... She's been helping her this whole time. Haven't you?!

Misty: I'm sorry.

Sunny Starscout: [scoffs] You betrayed us!

Misty: I... I didn't... mean...

Izzy Moonbow: I thought we were your friends.

Misty: No!

[hissing]

Opaline: [humming] I am so proud of you, Misty.

Misty: You are?

Opaline: Yes. And you've worked so hard to earn your cutie mark. You must be so excited.

Misty: I... I am. I did work really hard. I just... wanted to make you happy for so long. Like... forever, practically.

Opaline: And you've finally done it! You'll get your cutie mark... as soon as I'm done draining the dragon of his dragonfire. Isn't that exciting?!

Sparky Sparkeroni: [weak gurgle]

Misty: I-I better go check on the others! To, um, make sure they're not causing any trouble.

Izzy Moonbow: [grunting] Whew! The first forty tries were fun, but this is getting tiring.

Sunny Starscout: I just can't believe Misty would do that to us. We're her friends.

Zipp Storm: She's not our friend, Sunny! She was just pretending! I knew it! I should have just followed my instincts!

Pipp Petals: She fooled us all.

Hitch Trailblazer: And now Sparky is... gone.

Izzy Moonbow: [grunting] Oh... My horn is dizzy.

Sunny Starscout: We can't just sit here and let them win! We can fix this! I can fix this! [sighs] I just need to change... [grunts] ...into... [grunts] ...an Alicorn! [sighs] But... but I'm trying to help somepony! Why won't it work?! Maybe I can't do it. Maybe I'm not true Alicorn material after all.

Pipp Petals: What?! How can you say that? Of course you are!

Sunny Starscout: But I trusted Misty so much, and I was completely wrong.

Zipp Storm: Wait a second.

Izzy Moonbow: [grunting]

Zipp Storm: It's not you, Sunny! Our magic doesn't work in here!

Izzy Moonbow: [gasps] That's why you can't turn into an Alicorn!

Pipp Petals: Ugh! We've got to get out of this sticky thing!

Misty: I can help!

Zipp Storm: Like you helped us get into this situation?

Misty: This wasn't the plan! I-I didn't mean to get you all trapped! I brought you here to help get Sparky out! Honest!

Zipp Storm: You haven't been honest with us! Ever!

Hitch Trailblazer: Yeah. How did Sparky get in here to begin with?

Sunny Starscout: You betrayed us, Misty. How could you?

Misty: It's not like that! Opaline found me a long time ago when I was just a lost filly and I couldn't remember where home was. And she... she took me in and I... She promised me a cutie mark and... I'm so sorry. You didn't deserve this!

Opaline: [distant] Misty! Get up here!

Misty: I'm gonna fix this!

Opaline: You, my dear, are just moments away from getting your gorgeous new cutie mark. I just want to watch this stinky little dragon fall first.

Misty: Uh, do we really have to drop Sparky into the water, Opaline? I mean, he's just a baby dragon, and now he'll be powerless, so... he's... harmless?

Opaline: This "harmless" baby dragon has given me one headache too many! And now that he'll be without dragonfire, I'll have no use for him. Ta-ta, dragon baby!

[pop]

Opaline: Agh! Disgusting! I have to go wash my hooves in case he got spit on me. Ugh. Revolting.

Misty: [panting]

Sunny Starscout: Don't bother apologizing again! We don't wanna hear it!

Hitch Trailblazer: Yeah! We're too busy trying to figure out how to get out of this mess!

Pipp Petals: The one you put us in!

Misty: I... I'm sorry. Really, I... [sighs] Listen. You ponies have been nothing but good to me. You treated me better than anypony ever has. You treated me like a friend. And it's my turn to do the same! I'd rather be a pony without a cutie mark forever than live one more day as a pony that does the wrong thing! Ugh!

[clatter]

[heroic music]

Mane 5: [gasp]

Misty: [panting, grunting]

[pop!]

Misty: Aah!

Sunny Starscout: You freed us?

Misty: I had to.

[shimmering]

Misty: Huh? What's happening?!

[flash!]

Mane 5: [gasp, cheer]

Misty: At last! A cutie mark!

Sunny Starscout: Helping us gave you your cutie mark!

Misty: I just couldn't bear to see my friends in trouble. It unlocked something in me. What if... that something was me? The real me?

Sunny Starscout: That's it! Come on, everypony! Let's get our baby dragon back!

[somber music]

[hissing]

Opaline: [laughs evilly]

Misty: [distant] Opaline! Help! Help!

Opaline: [groans] Ugh. That Misty. That pony will be the end of me.

Hitch Trailblazer: [gasps] Sparky!

Zipp Storm: Don't worry, Sparky! We're here to rescue you!

Hitch Trailblazer: [grunting]

[pop!]

Zipp Storm: Gotcha!

Sparky Sparkeroni: [gurgling]

Hitch Trailblazer: [chuckles] I'm never letting you go again!

Sparky Sparkeroni: [gurgling]

Misty: [whispering] Okay, she's coming.

Izzy Moonbow: [whispering] Okay, you got this!

Misty: Mm! Help! Help!

Opaline: Misty, what did you do?!

Misty: They overpowered me, Opaline! They tricked me and tied me up!

Opaline: Where are the rest of... [gasps] Ugh!

Sunny Starscout: So, you're the evil Alicorn!

Opaline: Oh, is that what they're calling me? Better make it "evil Fire Alicorn!" Opaline Arcana!

Izzy Moonbow: Uh-oh.

Pipp Petals: Oh, dear.

Sunny Starscout: Twilight warned us about you! You're the one who tried to steal magic all those moons ago!

Opaline: And now that I have the dragon's power, I'll do it again right now! [laughs evilly, grunts]

[energy blazes]

Sunny Starscout: Wah! Whoa!

Opaline: [growling]

Sunny Starscout: Oh! Whoa! [laughs] Missed!

Opaline: [roars]

Sunny Starscout: [gasps]

[boom!]

Izzy Moonbow: [gasps] Sunny!

Pipp Petals and Misty: [gasp]

Sunny Starscout: [grunting]

Opaline: Look at me. Do you really think you could stop a Fire Alicorn? [laughing]

[smack!]

Opaline: Ah! Ugh!

Izzy Moonbow: [grunting] Leave... Sunny... alone!

[clatter]

Pipp Petals: Dah! Yes! Leave her alone!

Opaline: You pests!

Sunny Starscout: [gasps, grunting]

Izzy Moonbow and Pipp Petals: [yelp]

Opaline: You weak little ponies can't stop Opaline Arcana!

Izzy Moonbow and Pipp Petals: [gasp]

Sunny Starscout: [grunting]

Opaline: [grunts]

[energy blazes]

[boom!]

[energy humming]

Izzy Moonbow and Pipp Petals: [cheer]

Opaline: Uh-oh.

Sunny Starscout: Maybe alone, we can't! But together, we can do anything!

Opaline: [grunting] Aah!

Sunny Starscout and Opaline: [yelling]

Izzy Moonbow: Yes, you can do it, Sunny!

Pipp Petals: Way to glow, Sunny!

Opaline: [screaming]

Zipp Storm: Yeah! We have your back!

Hitch Trailblazer: Get her! [grunting]

[pop!]

Opaline: [roaring]

[energy surging]

Rest of Mane 5: [cheering]

Misty: You can do it, Sunny.

[heroic music]

Opaline: [gasps]

[boom!]

Opaline: Ugh! Ah!

Sunny Starscout: [grunts]

Opaline: [groaning]

Izzy Moonbow: [scoffs] It's no use! Those bubbles are horn-proof!

Pipp Petals: And sticky! Ugh!

Opaline: Ugh!

Sunny Starscout: Sparky! Aww! I'm so glad you're okay!

Sparky Sparkeroni: [gurgling softly]

Opaline: You can't keep me here forever.

Sunny Starscout: No. But I can keep you away from my friends. Let's go.

Misty: Yeah! Get out of here, you ponies!

Opaline: [groans]

Misty: Hoof to heart.

Opaline: [grunting]

[splatting]

Opaline: ugh! that was outrageous! nopony traps opaline! and look at this place! Ugh! Those little ponies will pay for this! They may have taken the dragon...

[fire whooshes]

Opaline: ...but I still got all the fire magic I need! Clean this place up! NOW!

Misty: [gasps, giggles]

[soft music]

Misty: Whoo! Yeah! [laughing]

Misty: [gasps]

Opaline: Well, that was fast. I should make you clean more often. I was just going to say that, although you may have un-earned your new cutie mark by foolishly letting those ponies capture you, at least they know you work for me now. No reason to pretend to be their friend anymore. [laughs] That's a good prize, no?

Misty: Of course. Thanks... Opaline.

[shimmering sounds]

Misty: [sighs]

Sparky Sparkeroni: [soft gurgling]

Hitch Trailblazer: Are you sure there's nothing else we can get you, Sparky?

Sparky Sparkeroni: [yawns]

[toy squeaks]

Sunny Starscout: I think he's okay. He's just gonna need some rest.

Sparky Sparkeroni: [snoring]

Sunny Starscout: A lot of rest.

Hitch Trailblazer: [sighs]

Pipp Petals: Can I just say how a-ma-zing Sunny was as an Alicorn?

Izzy Moonbow: Oh, yeah! Abso-toot-ly!

Hitch Trailblazer: She was incredible!

Sunny Starscout: I guess I was right. The key to unlocking my Alicorn power is to do my best to help when my friends are in need. And not being stuck in a magical, no-magic bubble.

Sparky Sparkeroni: [yawns]

Sunny Starscout: Seeing my friends in danger brought out a whole bunch of abilities that I didn't even know I had!

Misty: Me, too. It's what finally gave me the courage to be who I should've been this whole time. Myself. And who I really am is a pony who would never betray a friend. I know what I did was wrong. I totally understand if you all hate me now.

Sunny Starscout: We don't.

Misty: What?

Izzy Moonbow: We don't hate anypony!

Pipp Petals: Yeah. I mean, what you did was wrong.

Zipp Storm: Really wrong.

Hitch Trailblazer: But what you did in the end was right.

Zipp Storm: Really right.

Sunny Starscout: Sometimes, ponies make mistakes. But it's what we do in the end that counts.

Misty: I promise you can trust me now. I'll do whatever it takes to help you defeat Opaline. Hoof to heart.

Mane 6: Hoof to heart!

Sparky Sparkeroni: [snoring loudly]

Mane 6: [laughing] Hoof to heart.

[ominous music]

Opaline: Hmmm... If one dragon is awake, then the rest must be stirring.

[dragon roar]

Opaline: With more dragonfire, I'll be able to steal all of the magic, including the Alicorn's! Wake up, my dragon darlings. Opaline's coming.

[ominous music]

[fire whooshing]
