In all honesty, I personally enjoyed the film regardless of whatever flaws it may have. As a matter of fact, it’s one of my favorite movies.
However, it’s hard to deny that there were some certain things that I wish could’ve been done. That’s why I’ve often thought about how cool it would be if Hasbro, Entertainment One, and Boulder Media eventually made an extended version of the film, which would be a definite first for an animated film.
When it comes to what I’d like to see in an extended version, it would definitely be to see the Storm King have more screen time somehow, because despite him becoming one of my favorite villains, even I haven’t exactly felt satisfied by his lack of screen time. I think giving him more scenes would also make a huge difference for him in terms of popularity too. Other things I’ve grown interested in seeing are Twilight reconciling with Capper, Celaeno, and Skystar, as well as an epilogue showing what happened to Grubber and the Storm King’s minions after the defeat of the Storm King himself.
