Based off a scene from Steel Magnolias where Shelby goes into diabetic shock at the beauty salon, I decided to take the challenge putting Pinkie Pie in the middle of this predicament. For those of you unfamiliar with the show or movie, one of the main characters, Shelby, is a diabetic and when she goes into insulin shock, the girls and her mother scramble to lower her insulin and bring her back to her senses. The new girl Annelle is unaware of Shelby's sickness so she isn't sure of whet to do.
Reformed works well for it to as she is starting to really get to know the girls. For the record, this is in the EG Universe so that there is no confusion.
(The girls are at RARITY'S house having a spa day. RARITY is working FLUTTERSHY'S hair. PINKIE PIE and APPLEJACK are sitting in their chairs while SUNSET SHIMMER and RAINBOW DASH stand and watch.)
Sunset: Is this what you when you're not at school?
Applejack: Nah. Rarity just thought that it'd be a good way start fresh what with the fall formal and all.
Rarity: Sunset, now that we're friends, I've decided to make you my new project.
Sunset: You really don't have to do that.
Rarity: I know. That's what makes me so nice.
Pinkie Pie: Rainbow Dash, don't have to stand you know. A pedicure wouldn't hurt. Sit down and relax.
Rainbow Dash: I would. But I don't like anyone touching my feet.
Applejack: She's just worried about her little reputation.
Rainbow Dash: Hey! I'm captain of almost all the sports teams at school. If do any of that dress up stuff, no one is going to take me seriously.
Rarity: Honestly darling, painted nails and a trim are not make people think you're not athletically inclined.
Rainbow Dash: Well, Sunset not getting anything.
Rarity: She will, but not until I find a new outfit for her.
Sunset: What wrong with I have on now?
Rarity: Oh nothing. But sometimes a new outfit to go with a new attitude can give people a better impression that this a new and improved Sunset Shimmer.
Fluttershy: I think she looks fine. (SUNSET smiles)
Rarity: Besides, I'm still in the design stages, so it may be a week or so before I come with a new outfit. It probably be done some time after the Musical Showcase. (Turns to FLUTTERSHY) That should do it.
Fluttershy: Thanks Rarity. So, are we still doing that showcase?
Pinkie Pie: Of course, I don't turn down anything fun. (PINKIE begins to space out and sweat)
Rainbow Dash: Yeah. I didn't get a new guitar just to let it sit in my room.
Applejack: I don't even want to bring up the banana costume.
Sunset: What banana costume? (RAINBOW DASH gives her a gesture to not press the matter) Uh, never mind.
Rainbow Dash: it was still funny though.
Applejack: That never would've happened if my bass wasn't accidently sold to those two crooks.
Rarity: Pinkie, you've got the puffiest hair I've ever had my hands in. So thick.(Noticing PINKIE spacing out) Just because I'm bragging on you don't mean you can get lazy on me.
Pinkie Pie: Stop it.
Rarity: Pinkie? Pinkie! Applejack!
Sunset: What is it? What wrong?
Rarity: I'll get some juice.
Applejack: There's some candy in my purse.
Fluttershy: I have some right here.
Applejack: Pinkie. Pinkie. Hold on. Rarity's getting you some juice.
Rainbow Dash: Should I get her a cookie?
Applejack: No. Juice is better.
Rarity: Here's the juice.
(RAINBOW DASH holds PINKIE'S head up)
Applejack: You need some juice. You need some juice.
Pinkie Pie: Stop it, Applejack.
Applejack: Drink the juice.
Rarity: Please drink the juice.
Pinkie Pie: No! (Some juice spills on the floor) Stop it! I have got candy in my purse.
Applejack: You didn't bring your purse, sugar cube. You didn't bring your purse. No, you didn't. No, here you go. There you go. Drink some of this. (She makes PINKIE drink) It's not any wonder...with all this running around with the party planning and extra work.
Sunset: Excuse me. Should I call the doctor or something?
Rarity: No. No.
Fluttershy: She's a diabetic.
Applejack: She just has a little too much insulin, that's all. We'll get a little more in her. She'll be all right.
Pinkie: If you don't leave me alone, I'm gonna leave.
Rainbow Dash: I'd love to see you try.
Applejack: Cooperate Pinkie.
Fluttershy: Pinkie drink. Please.
Applejack: Come on, now. Yes, yes, yes. There you go. There you go. That's a start.
Fluttershy: This one hit her fast.
Applejack: She's been so upset lately. The doctor told her on her last appointment that doing sports with her condition was out of the question.
(The girls in shock and disappointment)
Sunset: I didn't know that she was diabetic. Pinkie seemed too...well...
Rainbow Dash: Peppy? I thought like that too when I found out. It's not something she likes to let people know about. It's something about not wanting pity.
Sunset: Could I do something to help?
Applejack: No, no. She'll be fine. Don't fuss over her. She probably won't remember what happened.
Pinkie Pie: Don't talk about me like I'm not here.
Applejack: She's making some sense now. Yes, she is. This one was not bad at all. It was not bad at all. I think we need a little more juice.
Rarity: Here, Applejack.
Applejack: Thanks.
Rainbow Dash: I'm really sorry about the sports part.
Applejack: She was afraid that it ruin her chances at this scholarship for college.
Pinkie Pie: My sister said: "Pinkie, don't be stupid. There's plenty of ways to money for school."
Applejack: Drink some.
Pinkie Pie: "We'll apply for aid. We'll take out loans if we have to."
Fluttershy: Maud sounds like a smart girl.
(PINKIE chuckles and, as if she snapped out of a trance, looks at her surroundings and puts together what happened) I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
Applejack: That's all right, honey. It's all right. It's all over now. It's all...You hold your juice.
Pinkie Pie: Rarity, I'm sorry.
Rarity: I'll fix it. We'll fix it. Don't worry about it.
(A heavy silence lingers until PINKIE decides to say the first thing that comes to mind)
Pinkie Pie: So Sunset, do you know why we still get pony ears and tails?
Sunset: Um...Not really. This is new for me too. All of this is.
