All you need to do is to rank the episodes above from your favorite to least favorite. It's also appreciated if you give your thoughts on these episodes too.

Here's my ranking.

  1. Sleepless in Ponyville: This easily takes the top spot for me. It's a great episode that deals with Scootaloo's fears and how it is at odds with her wanting to impress her idol, Rainbow Dash. It goes far deeper into Scootaloo's character than anything we've seen before, and it all adds up to a great resolution as Rainbow shows her good side by taking Scootaloo under her wing, both figuratively and literally. This episode also introduces one aspect of Princess Luna, that being a dreamwalker. I really liked her role in this one, helping Scootaloo out with her issues through advices, which is something we'll see again for the other CMCs in For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils and Bloom & Gloom. Overall, it's a great episode and my favorite of Season 3.
  2. Appleoosa's Most Wanted: This episode does offer an interesting idea surrounding the nature of cutie marks, that being how you utilize your special talent depends on how you interpret your cutie mark. As for Trouble Shoes, the pony facing this issue, I feel they did a pretty decent job with his character. I liked how the CMCs were the ones who helped him with his cutie mark issue, which does show that these characters are becoming more and more mature. With all that said, I thought the story as a whole wasn't very interesting. It has a number of good things that make this episode decent enough. Otherwise it's my least favorite of the season thus far, which definitely speaks for the quality of Season 5 so far (that being really good).
  3. Power Ponies: The main issue I had with this episode was the pacing. I think they spent too much time on Equestria than on the comic books, which meant that there wasn't enough superhero action for me to be all too entertained. However, the superhero action we did get was still pretty enjoyable, and the episode serves as a decent homage to comic book superheroes. Spike's conflict, I didn't really care about that much; I think Spike's "self-confidence issues" conflict was done far better in Equestria Games. As a whole, this episode didn't impress me that much, but it's enjoyable enough to be decent in my book, so there you go.
  4. The Cutie Pox: This episode is veeeery average. Beyond the visual gags, what else does this episode has to offer? We've seen the "Apple Bloom worrying about her lack of cutie marks" before in Call of the Cutie, and even though the execution is different, I don't find it very interesting. Plus, the fact that Apple Bloom forgot the lesson immediately after learning it is a poor writing choice and it made this episode pointless. It's my least favorite episode of Season 2, though it does have a few good things. Apple Bloom utilizing the talents the cutie marks represent were creatively done animation-wise, and I like Applejack in this one.
  5. Boast Busters: I understand what the writers were intending with Trixie in the story; she's supposed to be this big braggart who ends up being put in her place by the end of the episode. However, it was a poor decision to have her be a showmare, which basically justifies all of the bragging she's doing, as it's part of the show. It's not a very reasonable writing choice to have the Mane 6 and Spike to scorn her and faces a very harsh consequence that entails the destruction of someone's life, as this is all part of the act. There were a few parts which imply that the persona she wears goes beyond her stage performance, but it's not much to justify her being put in such a bad light. Plus, the characters were pretty unlikeable, especially Snips and Snails who debuted in this episode. That said, it does have a couple of things that I do like. I do think Trixie has a very enjoyable personality, and Twilight's conflict of being afraid of showing off her magic was actually pretty interesting. However, these cannot save what I consider to be my least favorite episode of the entire series.
