We're approaching the final season, brahs! Just one week before the final season premeire comes on, we have an Equestria Girls special! The only one this year? Perhaps. Last one? Nah, I'm sure there'll be more next year! But this EG special might be my final one though - it depends really. After the final episode of the show, whether it's the season 9 finale or another special afterwards, that's probably where I'm stopping, so this could be my final EG. Depends on how long EG is gonna go on for. So 2 weeks after my Spring Break, we have the girl's spring break! Taking place on a yacht! Is it the same yacht from Dance Magic?

No it was not. That was pretty confusing. Back in Dance Magic, the whole reason The Rainbooms and the Shadowbolts won the music video contest was to do a yacht for spring break. What happened to that? Why didn't the Shadowbolts appear in here? I know they wouldn't play any purpose in the story, but a few unspoken cameos wouldn't hurt! Now it's said that Twilight was the one that organized the trip. That's a huge continuity error right there. But anyhoo, it's a nice ship! Yes, Pinkie Pie, everyone knows it's spring break! You don't need to tell everyone constantly. :P She wasn't the big problem though in the trip. The big problem was Rainbow Dash! So yeah, the special stars her! I know it's all good that she wants to save the day from disasters and all, but we already got the lesson from Lesson Zero that causing a problem just to solve it would make everything worse! Does Rainbow really want the ship to sink? Rainbow, you might have magic and all and have the ability to turn evil good, but can your magic make money appear outta thin air? Yunno how expensive that ship looked? It's a good thing that ship wasn't as big as a regular cruise ship! I don't like seeing cruise ships sink. All their personal belongings, gone! Spending all that money on vacation just to lead to disaster!

As it turns out, Rainbow was right in the end. So it turned from Lesson Zero to A Canterlot Wedding! :P I figured the storm wasn't natural, but even if the storm was natural, why were the Rainbooms performing outside? The only logical character in this special was Twilight, when Rainbow said "Take no prisoners", and Twilight was like "There's no prison we can take them to, and that's kidnapping"! That was clever dialogue I wish happened more often in here! But back to the Equestrian magic problem, once Twilight, Sunset, and Rainbow were attacked by Audrey III, they got sucked into Equestria! I gotta say, it was a nice touch seeing Sci-Twi as a unicorn rather than an alicorn like Princess Twilight! It was nice seeing the two interact! Human Rainbow saw pony Rainbow, pony AJ appeared, pony Big Mac, and even dragon Spike (which I'm hoping for him to interact with dog Spike in the future)! Spike didn't have wings though, nor did I see the School of Friendship, so we know this takes place before season 8, probably during the planning/building the school stage. As it turns out as well, the Staff of Sacanas wasn't in the human world! I thought the staff was in the human world causing the problems, but it turns out, it was just left over Storm King magic, and the staff was the key to stopping the problem!

It was really nice seeing the Staff of Sacanas again! I knew we'd see it again eventually, cause even though the Storm King shattered, the staff is still in one piece! Hopefully we see it again in the future, I see alota potential for it! Since the Tree of Harmony created the staff and it used to belong to Scorpan, let's hope season 9 can get into it! One of the coolest and nicest changes that makes this special unique: no villain! There was no selfish villain that takes Equestria magic and uses it for their own purposes! It's just the magic leak causing it, and it looks like the leak is getting bigger, which would be pretty bad for the human world! I can already see what the finale might be like! And finally, as a nice touch in the end, we get to see the rest of the Humane 7 as well as some BG human characters in their pony forms! So yeah, I enjoyed this special, but it was much better in the 2nd half, cause the 1st half was mostly Rainbow just being obnoxious. Rarity's part with the Muffin fella with the New Zealand accent or is it Scottish? He looked an awful lot like AJ, so yeah, I get it EG staff, you ship Rarijack! :P Hopefully these religious soccer moms won't have a problem with homosexuality in the future so Rarijack can actually happen without hints - not that I care, but if you really wanna confirm something, it's best to just do it! ;) Wasn't a big fan of that mini-story though - it served absolutely no purpose to the story, not that I minded it either, I just didn't care for it.

The humor was really spot-on in here, and Nick Confalone never seizes to amaze with his humor! First off with that Titanic reference with Bulk Biceps (a bit of foreshadowing too), poor Applejack was sick the entire time until her mind was occupying in saving everyone, Pinkie's moving floor joke, the lifeboat rope thing, Parrot Ex Machina, "Feed me Seymour"! However some jokes I saw from a mile away, like no cake being there for Pinkie, the picture falling in the map room (it didn't appear in any future episode so I guess they gave up), and Trixie's first scene before the commercial break! XD Did Rainbow really say "Ka-chow" on here, and "Hell yeah"? I know she didn't say the latter, she said "oh yeah", but it really sounded like "Hell yeah"! When Rarity had the GPS alert saying she's in International Waters, I was gonna say "woo, we gamble now"! Till I realized the ship doesn't have a casino! :P Spike also mentioned a dragon wedding - was he really in one? Who got married? Not Ember. But maybe it was just a joke cause that's when everyone laughed. Why was Pinkie the one banned from the buffet when Rainbow was responsible for the cake disaster? How about the petting zoo part, didn't one of those little light green goats look like Thorax a bit? Hey, changelings are goats in human world confirmed!

So like I said before, this is probably my final EG. Since this is the final of the three hour-long specials. But then again, if by 2020 there's a finale movie, I'll watch that! Might as well! If it's gonna continue on throughout G5, then no more from me... maybe. Maybe not, who knows? LOL! Regardless, pretty cool special! Not as good as [[My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Forgotten Friendship|Forgotten Friendship], but much better than Rollercoaster of Friendship by a long shot!
