I want to take the time to talk about Discord's voice. As I'm sure a lot of you are aware, John De Lancie is not voicing Discord in Pony Life. Instead he he being voiced by Peter New, who we all know as Big Macintosh, and I for one think he's doing an okay job, now it's easy to tell that It's not John De Lancie, and I prefer him over Peter New, but don't get me wrong I think Peter New is a pretty cool guy, and he was wonderful as Big Mac, but like a lot of you, it's gonna take sometime for me to get used to Discord's new voice, though I am glad they still got someone who worked on Friendship is Magic to be recast as Discord.
However That's not the main thing I want to talk about with this Blog Post, I instead want to ask you, If you could have anyone else, besides John De Lancie or Peter New voice Discord, who would It be. For Me I can think of two possible canadaties who could have been good voice actors for Discord, them being either Mark Hamil, or James Woods.
Mark Hamil because he knows how to voice a funny villian. He is the one true Joker, let's be honest.
I also think James Woods would have been fine for Discord too if John De Lancie wasn't avalabie, though I feel like it would have ended up being a one time thing, and they probalay would have recast him when Discord came back.
But what do you think.
For Me
John De Lancie is the One True Discord and Always will be.
Peter New is doing an Okay Job, and I could get use to him in the long run.
And what would you guys think of either Mark Hamil or James Woods voicing Discord?
