Descriptive file names

Hi Dennis! Thanks for uploading images to the wiki. Please give images you upload descriptive file names so it would be easy to search for them and understand their content from their filename. -Throwawaytv 07:24, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

Please note that misnamed files may be deleted. -Throwawaytv 10:00, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
Help:Red links#:File:Vlcsnap-2011-08-29-22h50m05s110.png and similar filenames are not descriptive. Please note that misnamed files may be deleted. -Throwawaytv 21:38, August 29, 2011 (UTC)
When using Gallery, you couldn't give it a name, which I now won't use and instead upload it with a name, and then add it too the gallery. Liggliluff (tp, c) 07:44, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Are you running a bot?

If you're running a bot: thanks! We could use automatic tidying up. I'm about to set up my own bot, maybe you could help me if you're experienced with them. -Throwawaytv 13:07, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

Non-English articles

Hi! Thanks for your contributions to the wiki. Please note that this wiki is primarily intended for an English-speaking audience, and there is a difficulty in performing peer review for articles in any other language. I have moved the YouTube video of the theme song into the "international versions" section of the theme song article, and removed the lyrics. You can still post the lyrics and the translation on your blog or in the forums. Thanks again for your contributions. -Throwawaytv 22:23, September 3, 2011 (UTC)

Swedish Friendship is Magic wiki

Hi! I find that you're very interested in presenting My Little Pony Friendship is Magic info in your mother tongue, being Swedish. In that case, I recommend you launch a Swedish edition wiki, and this is possible. Simply enter some details onto this form page, and Wikia will open a new wiki space for you, and you would be its Founder and Head Admin! I highly suggest though you use the address sv.mlp.wikia.com, so this way this English wiki can interlink articles with the Swedish wiki. (That's a different process though, as interlinking is not an automated thing for some reason.) If you need any assistance, don't hesitate to ask. Good luck! Hope(N Forever) 23:22, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

Excessive categorization

Please avoid excessive categorization. If you want to write about songs sung by Twilight Sparkle, you should add a "Songs" section in Twilight Sparkle instead of a category. If you find yourself creating a category that is an intersection of an older category with a new topic, note how many actual pages will be in the category. If there are very few, then the category is probably excessive. -Throwawaytv 07:05, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Well, it wasn't me, I did just corrected "Twiligt" to "Twilight Sparkle". Liggliluff (tp, c) 07:20, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
Hm, thanks. -Throwawaytv 07:27, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Copying pages to sv.mlp.wikia.com

If you need to import articles, images, or templates, you can list it in the bot to-do list and have them copied to your wiki. I think it's great you're creating content in Swedish. -Throwawaytv 09:54, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

I'm copying the start of some articles, maybe not all 200, but the most important, then then can be filled out with more information.
I already had an interlinking of wikis approved by Wikia yesterday. I already have added all Swedish available links to their proper pages, and will continue to do so with every article you create on the Swedish wiki, at least until we have a proper bot to help with the automatic process. In the meantime, I suggest you add English links to each corresponding article as well (eg. [[en:The Ticket Master]] in the Biljettballaden article), especially every time you create a new article. It will help save a lot of time in the long run. By the way, I was surprised you actually took my suggestion to a serious degree, and already created over 60 articles since yesterday alone! Great job indeed! You're awesome! Hope you keep up this progress, but you really cannot do it all on your own, you know? You have to invite more people to help out. After all, wikis are all about team work, right? Lycka till!
Oh, and one unrelated question. Is it true that the show is coming to the Nordic Boomerang in Swedish (as well as Danish, Norwegian, and Finnish) starting September 26? And is there a proper source that can confirm this? Hope(N Forever) 19:38, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
A few sources are pointing on that, and even Boomerang them self said (by email) that it will start then. Maybe I should add that? But what would look nice, as a Wiki-standard? But will start adding the the tags in the wikia, and check if the others are correct ;) Liggliluff (tp, c) 20:42, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
Do you have any links to any of those third party sources I could use? It does not have to be in English. I just would like one link at least, please. Hope(N Forever) 22:43, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
Well, seems like I can't find the sources... I did find one, This post on Facebook, it's a person who sent an email to Cartoon Network and got an answer, and he posted the email on Facebook. Seems like a reliable source. (Just because it's on Facebook, doesn't make it automatically wrong, as people otherwise believe...)
And one more thing, the Sweden, Norway and Denmark share the same channel, so the release should be the same. Liggliluff (tp, c) 23:30, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
So Finland won't be getting their dub on Boomerang, huh? Thanks anyway. Hope(N Forever) 19:10, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
Well, hard to say... some of the channels have Finnish, and some English. Don't know how it's on Boomerang. Wikipedia says that Finland doesn't include in the channel, maybe they have their own... and I think the release should be about the same for them... they are one timezone off too, maybe that's why. Wikipedia article

Doesn't the Swedish Wikipedia article on the show seem a bit... lacking? Hope(N Forever) 19:10, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

Well, after putting up 75 articles in 10-15 hours, I got a little tired... and earned a rest... well, I'll get back to it and add more information on every article now that they're up. (Will do this tomorrow, when I wake up... I'm now off to sleep... will problably wake in 8-10 hours... sleeping is good for the brain) Liggliluff (tp, c) 00:29, September 11, 2011 (UTC)

Style guide

Do you want to write the visual section of the style guide for the wiki? You seem to be very stylish. –Throwawaytv 11:41, November 5, 2011 (UTC)

Pony kind text SVGs

Available here, and here:

The font used is Nimbus Roman No9 L which is freely distributed, but it's almost identical to Times New Roman. I hope I did't misspell anything. Thanks again for the excellent Swedish and German wikis! –Throwawaytv 12:34, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

"Lookin' good ... Lookin' real good!", don't see any misspelling at the moment :) Thanks!!
