I knew it! You, along with many others and foreign dubbing studios have been brainwashed to believe those April Fools' jokes are real! That's why you all refuse to believe me. I know I've been told to shut up about this, but that's just your brainwashing doing the talking, plus I'm feeling a great pain inside me that'll drive me to taking my own life unless I get this out. Consider your message read and then dismissed. Vengir (talk) 08:08, September 15, 2015 (UTC)

I had an unfortunate run-in with two of the April Fools' jokes yesterday, no thanks to a guy in the commentary/reaction community called RarityDash. He included My Past is Not Today as the outro music to his Photo Finished commentary and the intro music to his Friendship Games commentary, and Friendship Through the Ages was the last song to be played in the outro to his Friendship Games commentary. For the first song, I didn't know what it was at first, then when I heard it in the intro to his Friendship Games commentary, I could just about hear the lyrics under the guy's voice. I never thought a song like that would sound like a dance/pop-style tune. I always thought it would be a slow tune with synthesized real instruments. I then went into a freakout session that lasted about half an hour before gradually calming down. I knew the last song in the outro was Friendship Through the Ages, because, again, I just about heard the lyrics under the guy's voice. I had another freakout, but not as severe, and it only lasted about a few minutes. I'm gonna make sure that I'll never ever, ever, ever ever hear those songs again. To finish this off, I just have one question. Why do so many people think there's similarities between My Past is Not Today and I'll Fly? They sound nothing like each other. GamerBoi42 International (talk) 07:42, October 31, 2015 (UTC)

Well, I can't tell for sure whether what you heard was an original song or a fan remix. Both are possible, so if you really want to make your opinion on them, I would suggest listening to the originals. The similarity between I'll FLy and My Past is Not Today is a bit tricky to explain. There was a comparison video once made on it. For me the most noticeable similarity are the way final verses are sung, especially with that very long finishing note. About the Russian dubbed shorts

I haven't watched them yet (both the RR Encore shorts and the FG shorts), but are the voices the same as they are in the show/films, or are they completely different? GamerBoi42 International (talk) 09:19, November 19, 2015 (UTC)

No idea, sorry. I don't really pay much attention to foreign voice actors. They sound quite similar mostly. IIRC, Sunset's singing is different. You should ask somebody else. Maybe Kopcap94? Vengir (talk) 11:56, November 19, 2015 (UTC)

MiniMini+

I got a question for you. Does MiniMini+ ever have themed events? Because Tiny Pop, one of the channels that shows MLP here in the UK sometimes has themed events. Like, February is Friendship February, they a "Little Explorers" theme in the summer months, around Halloween they have a "Little Monsters" theme, and throughout December they have a "Little Helpers" theme. GamerBoi42 International (talk) 11:38, November 26, 2015 (UTC)

To be honest, I don't even have MiniMini+. I only watch it on streams when new episode airs. In terms of programming, they do select certain themed episodes to show around specific holidays, but it's nothing that lasts a whole month. And even then they show such episodes over the year. A Christmas special episode in July? Sure, why not. In terms of animated intermissions and so on… I didn't notice a particular change pattern, but those are pretty elaborate animations anyway (compared to what I usually see for such). They do occasionally change them, but not too often so as not to overspend. Vengir (talkcontribution) 12:04, November 26, 2015 (UTC)

I noticed they've given their website a new look. And I can only seem to view their TV guide up to three hours in advance. Is this the same case with you? GamerBoi42 International (talk) 08:17, December 22, 2015 (UTC)

Yes, most likely a bug. At least we still have third-party schedules (telemagazyn.pl can reach the furthest among those on the internet, much further than the one on the official site). Vengir (talkcontributions) 12:17, December 22, 2015 (UTC)

Thanks anyway, but Fiesta already linked me to that Polish TV guide. GamerBoi42 International (talk) 15:51, December 22, 2015 (UTC)

Brazilian Portuguese FG soundtrack

Heya. So, the Friendship Games' soundtrack has been available for over a month in Brazilian Portuguese (I have all the songs downloaded myself), but no one has posted them online yet, so we can add to the international versions pages, like Polish, German, French or Latin Spanish. I don't really have a video editor or anything I could use to post the songs myself. Do you think you could do that if I linked you to the songs' download page? Or maybe you know anyone else that could? Ha³ (talk) 10:52, November 28, 2015 (UTC)

I think I know somebody who could do so. Vengir (talkcontributions) 11:00, November 28, 2015 (UTC)
Alright. The songs can be downloaded here: https://goo.gl/IRl9mX—Preceding unsigned comment added by Ha³ (talkcontribs)
I'll try to find someone. Vengir (talkcontributions) 17:08, November 28, 2015 (UTC)

Polish S4 Episodes

Do you know where I could find Chief's copies of the S4 episodes (HQ audio synced up to a 1080p iTunes rip)? I know MiniMini+ is repeating S4 eps right now and Piro is recapturing them in full HD, but the episodes in question I'm wanting are the S4 finale episodes, and MiniMini+ won't be showing them until next weekend, but I want to watch them on Wednesday, because that's when Tiny Pop, more or less the UK equivilant of MiniMini+, shows them, and I like to watch Italian and Polish dubs, along with my own copies of the episodes alongside what Tiny Pop shows. You see, I like to watch the episodes in this order - my own copies of the episodes -> actually watching the episodes on Tiny Pop -> Italian dub -> Polish dub. If I don't get Chief's copies of the Polish-dubbed S4 finale by Wednesday, I just don't know what I'm gonna do... Thanks in advance if you can help. GamerBoi42 International (talk) 12:46, January 3, 2016 (UTC)

If I'm not mistaken, Chief uses audio recorded by Piro, so… But I don't know, there is always a lower quality version. Vengir (talkcontributions) 13:16, January 3, 2016 (UTC)

Wait, if Chief uses Piro's audio, then how come he has HQ versions of the Polish S4 songs? GamerBoi42 International (talk) 14:11, January 3, 2016 (UTC)

I don't think their quality is any higher than what Piro has. Only the first six episodes of the season were recorded in what I would call a dissatisfying quality. After that I can no longer tell the difference (that's why I only replaced Hearts Strong as Horses recently and didn't bother with the rest). I still hope Piro is continuing to rerecord the season for best possible quality, despite episodes 7-26 being already OK to me. I can see Chief's Google Drive link for season 4, but it's now dead – now, in season 5, he links to Piro's uploads when people ask. Vengir (talkcontributions) 16:40, January 3, 2016 (UTC)

Then how do you explain me having HQ versions of the songs from the second half of S4? Because the quality is obviously higher than Piro's copies of the episodes. GamerBoi42 International (talk) 16:51, January 3, 2016 (UTC)

I don't know that. I told you what I believed to be a fact. Try asking Chief directly. Vengir (talkcontributions) 16:57, January 3, 2016 (UTC)

Actor counter (PT-BR)

Feel free to ask me about the VAs of the PT-BR version, for your actor counter. There's a bunch of missing information in the list, as well as some fake information (Robson Kumode did not voice Soarin' in S4, for one, that was Marco Aurélio). Ha³ (talk) 23:49, January 10, 2016 (UTC)

If you've got good official sources, feel free to do the correction on the Cast article directly. Otherwise, you may list any missing and incorrect ones here. Vengir (talkcontributions) 23:55, January 10, 2016 (UTC)

Episodes in foreign languages

Just a heads-up. I've removed the Italian dub of S2E15 from my DM channel. If anyone wants it, they can ask me on my talk page. GamerBoi42 International (talk) 07:52, April 7, 2016 (UTC)

I no longer actively maintain my list any longer, but is there any particular reason why you removed it? Vengir (talkcontributions) 08:11, April 7, 2016 (UTC)

Well, I mainly uploaded it for the Italians to watch, but since they've had S2 on DVD for a while now, I felt like removing it. But that now means non-Italians who are interested in watching that particular episode in Italian are gonna have to ask me. GamerBoi42 International (talk) 08:14, April 7, 2016 (UTC)

Ah, the legal-ish reasons, I understand. I never quite got why people who upload full episodes actually bother with justification, but whatever. Vengir (talkcontributions) 08:27, April 7, 2016 (UTC)

The Dailymotion Crisis

You may or may not have heard about the current Dailymotion crisis that's going on right now. Full episodes are being blocked. If Piro wants to upload the Polish S6 episodes when they come out somewhere else, where should he upload them? GamerBoi42 International (talk) 06:51, May 4, 2016 (UTC)

I don't know yet about the new episodes yet, but kuco-fan is working on securing the old ones. Vengir (talkcontributions) 07:04, May 4, 2016 (UTC)

Yet Another Translation Request

What does „zwidy” mean and why can't I find it in a Polish dictionary? GamerBoi42 International (talk) 08:07, May 18, 2016 (UTC)

You couldn't find it? Weird, because even Google Translate has it. Same with sjp.pl i suggested earlier. I mean, I can't tell you whether "hallucinations" is scientifically correct translation, but it should be more or less that. Vengir (talkcontributions) 10:01, May 18, 2016 (UTC)

But what about what Applejack says in the S5 premiere? You know, Albo masz zwidy i tracimy czas. I was expecting her to say something along the lines of To i dwie monety będzie ciszklanka cydru. I don't know why they changed it. GamerBoi42 International (talk) 13:59, May 18, 2016 (UTC)

That was an idiom – it can't always be translated literally (besides your translation actually meaning "That and two coins/bits will be youglass[sic] of cider"). In Polish she said "Or you have delusions and we're wasting time". In either language Applejack is just expressing her doubts about Twilight's feeling that something is not right. Vengir (talkcontributions) 15:38, May 18, 2016 (UTC)

Yay Ponies

I don't get it. Has Yay Ponies given up on posting TV rips now? I mean, why give up doing it after the 8th episode of S6? GamerBoi42 International (talk) 07:22, May 29, 2016 (UTC)

I don't know and frankly I don't care. Perhaps they realized the low demand for it and stopped bothering with it. They still have server space to consider. Vengir (talkcontributions) 07:38, May 29, 2016 (UTC)

Polish S6

Has Piro been extremely busy lately or something? Is that why he hasn't uploaded the first three eps of Polish S6 yet? GamerBoi42 International (talk) 08:11, May 29, 2016 (UTC)

I'm not sure. But at least other people took over him. We might not have a proper TV-rip this time (at least not in usual sense), but what we have is speed and sound wise straight from TV. Check out at Artem on YouTube or kuco-fan on wiki or YouTube. Vengir (talkcontributions) 08:16, May 29, 2016 (UTC)

Spanish EG Minis shorts

You seem to be the go-to user for this sort of thing (sorry if that sounds presumptuous). Which of these Pinkie Pie EG Minis shorts is in European Spanish and which is in Latin American Spanish?

From the text on the videos themselves, after having studied Spanish for about half a year, the two varieties are undistinguishable to me. They would probably need to use second person plural or some words I know are mostly used in one variety. It's easier to do by pronunciation. The only hint I recognize is in the video title. "España" is a name of the country - "Spain". The language would be "español". So at this moment I would say the first one is European, and the other is Latino. I'll try bring a proficient speaker to confirm that. Vengir (talkcontributions) 00:48, May 31, 2016 (UTC)
Two people just confirmed what I wrote earlier. "España" is the only thing that gives it away. Vengir (talkcontributions) 01:16, May 31, 2016 (UTC)]
Great, thanks for the help. furdklZ.png 2xoHxMt.gif 01:29, May 31, 2016 (UTC)

Re: About No Second Prances

Since (7)6(four) refuses to answer me and Gulomi Jomesh isn't bothering to give me a straight answer, maybe you can finally answer something for me. How come (7)6(four) has posted a link to a clip from What About Discord? on my talk page in my discussion about No Second Prances? GamerBoi42 International (talk) 05:48, July 15, 2016 (UTC)

Hey, buddy, I asked you something and I demand an answer! GamerBoi42 International (talk) 08:21, July 16, 2016 (UTC)

*cough* (your catchphrase?) (7)6(four) (talk) 08:51, July 16, 2016 (UTC)
Had you checked my activity on other wikis (or lack thereof) you would see that I was unavailable for some time. I see the clip in question as a metaphor of the discussion. You are like Twilight, insisting on accusations you can't prove (and in the end, these accusations are in fact misguided). Perhaps one can interpret it as an earlier example where Twilight tried to stop the friendly bonding (such action supposedly being so outrageously out of character for her). Vengir (talkcontributions) 20:00, July 16, 2016 (UTC)

Responded there; my apologies at least to Vengir and Gulomi Jomesh. (7)6(four) (talk) 04:05, July 17, 2016 (UTC)

A little help with something

I need you to help me with the way I tag international songs. Here's a couple of examples:
Example 1:

  • Artist: My Little Pony PL ("My Little Pony" followed by the two-letter country code)
  • Song: Best Friends Until the End of Time PL (song title followed by the two-letter country code)
  • Album: MLP-Poland S7 (MLP followed by the country and the season where the song comes from)

Example 2:

  • Artist: Equestria Girls PL ("Equestria Girls" followed by the two-letter country code)
  • Song: Mad Twience PL (song title followed by the two-letter country code)
  • Album: EG-Poland SS (EG followed by the country and the initials of what Equestria Girls the song comes from; in this instance, "SS" stands for "Summertime Shorts". "RR" would stand for "Rainbow Rocks", and so on)
I have no problem with the artist and song parts, but it's the album title I'm having trouble with. No, not for the series, and not for Equestria Girls, but rather, the pony movie. What would I use in the album title for international versions of the movie songs? Blissful690 (talk) 07:41, September 26, 2017 (UTC)
Maybe "MLP_Country TM"? "TM" would stand for "the Movie". Vengir (talkcontributions) 08:05, September 26, 2017 (UTC)
